My group has rented the banquet room at the Aloft South 3 times between 12/2023-10/2025. EVERY SINGLE TIME. WE HAVE HAD MAJOR ISSUES WITH OUR RESERVATION. We kept going back because the room rental is very reasonable and with promises of doing better. Aloft South had their third strike with us 10/25/25. This is a warning to the WORLD. Book with extreme consciousness that something will go wrong. Please ask whomever you speak with to email you immediately while you are on the phone with your confirmation AND to copy the owner. This your insurance of your booking. This hotel is independently owned. So calling the corporate number will not be helpful. I was given this tip by a manager at the hotel. Booking Issues: Communication is consistently very very very poor with the hotel. 2 out of 3 times we have booked. They lost our entire reservation. We had proof with our booking because we had a payment receipt. There is routine turn over with the booking staff. Each time we booked. We dealt with a different person. The current person you speak with will apologize for past issues and make promises that are not kept because they longer work at the hotel by the time of your booking. I can say this because it has happened 3 TIMES to my group. The hotel staff barely answer the phone. Even when leaving messages. Getting the sales people to call or email back is almost impossible. You need to literally need to go to the hotel IN PERSON for any follow-up. Only to find out the person no longer work at the hotel. This has happened twice. Please INSIST ON GETTING EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Ask for an immediate email. The front desk people are absolutely NOT HELPFUL. They come across very disinterested to help. The lady working at the front desk on 10/25/25 at 12pm with the dreads/braids had major attitude. She made the entire situation more stressful. We had literally spoken the Manager and the day before to confirm our reservation. We insisted she call the Manager that gave the green light. WHY DID THE STAFF NOT KNOW ABOUT OUR EVENT??? Room Set Up- The room has NEVER been set up or clean with any of the 3 events we had at the Aloft South. No one can ever give you an exact count of round and classroom tables. The black tableclothes are faded and mismatched. Again we have rented 3 times. They have not replaced them. 1st Incident 12/23- I arrive early to check in. Only to be told. They double booked our holiday party with another party. The comprise was to have our party in the hotel lobby. I was told they would comp my hotel room for the trouble. It never happened. The black table linens they provided were faded and mismatched. I had to go rent linens. This was an expense we never intended on having. Our entire program for our event had to be scraped due to not having the privacy of a private room. The DJ was wasted because we had to keeo the music low. 2nd Incident - The room was not cleaned or set up when we arrived. There was not enough tables. Table linens were still dinge looking. Despite being told they ordered new linen. 3rd Incident- 10/25. Arrived on site to find out they did not have our reservation. The front desk lady was extremely rude. We had to insist on them calling the manager on her day off to get confirmation of what we had previously arranged. We get in the room. It was not clean nor had the tables been set up. We had a very nice lady help us get the tables set up. BEFORE OUR EVENT ENDED. We booked the room from 12p-9p. Another group come in at 8ish. Stated the front desk people told them they could start setting up early. We were almost finish so we complied. These people are trading off if Alofts name. We have booked with Aloft downtown and had top shelf services. They need to do better. Helpful Suggestion to Aloft South: Answer your phone. There is 1 banquet room. Type up an information sheet with rates, rental time frames, room capacity, amount & types of tables and linens to have. Keep at the front desk for staff to have. This will be helpful to people calling. Have a...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!! The ABSOLUTE worst Hotel in Tulsa!! 1, NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY! NO Exterior Cameras to protect their customers! ~ our truck was parked for less than 2 hours by a light in Aloft hotel parking lot and it got broken into. As did the truck right beside ours! When we reported this to the gentleman working at the desk..he said they didn’t have any cameras on the exterior of the hotel. The employee at the front desk had bloodshot eyes…and was no doubt HIGH! I asked him if the owner of the truck beside ours was aware his truck had also been broke into, he said “I don’t know, it’s not our responsibility to alert them”. WOW!! Upon the first night we stayed here the shower was either SCORCHING hot or ICE cold. We reported this and were told they would fix it that morning. NO ONE EVER CAME! They moved us to another room and the Employee that night informed me that it’s a Father/Son maintenance team and the dad knew a lot but the son really didn’t and he worked that day so that’s why no one showed. WTH?? We have been here for three nights as of tonight and the room has still not been cleaned! Even though it states on my stay to clean the room each day. The lady employee told me that the Housekeeping Director did not have a good attitude and she will say that she is not going to clean and she doesn’t care about the cleanliness and is difficult to try to work with. Why this was shared with me..I still have no clue. But, it shows all over this place that this employee was telling the truth as the place is dirty and you can definitely tell she indeed does not care. There are no ice machines on any floors. To get ice you have to go to the front desk and if it is after 9:00pm there is Not a soul at the front desk! You have to stand there and wait for at least 13 minutes and one night it was 31 minutes before the guy on duty magically came out of this door that they apparently retreat to at 9:00 pm and was not happy that I asked for ice at 10:15pm?!? There is literally NO ONE securing the front desk nor watching who is coming in or out of the hotel after 9:00! And..let’s not forget, NO EXTERIOR cameras! This hotel literally has ONE employee that should even have a job here! I don’t know if the Corporate Marriott/Aloft offices care about keeping their doors open but, this place won’t last if the terrible service, lack of give a damn about the safety of their customers and definitely not a care in the world about the cleanliness! We have stayed here several times in the past when we have visited Tulsa. It is usually our go to hotel due to the convenience and the decent service/cleanliness. ..But, after this nightmare…NEVER AGAIN! I will make sure to try to save everyone that I know from...
Read moreWe have stayed at this property a few times in the past and I doubt we will be coming back. Please understand I just want to give you the info of why I wouldn’t give you a 10 out of 10 in hopes that you guys can grow from our feedback. When we arrived their was no one to be found in the lobby. No one in the bar at the front desk no one roaming around, we waited and I started walking around until a female saw me that was sitting back in the executive offices playing on her phone. Now I understand why she was back there because the lobby was at least 85 degrees and it was only noon because the A/C was obviously broken. She checked us in and we proceeded to our floor where the A/C was apparently out as well because the hallway was hot and smelled of pet urine. I understand this happens when a hotel is pet friendly but the odor was a bit offensive with all the heat and definitely not the normal SPG diffuser white tea smell that we are used to. I know SPG is now Bonvoy but I was at a W a last month and it smelled great on every floor and convention hall we walked in. Once we arrived in our room we settled in and realized our room was hot too. We turned the air way down in hopes it would cool the room off by the time we got back from the gathering place. When we went back through the lobby as we were leaving we encounter the girl at the front desk again and ask her about the air in the hallways and lobby and if it was going to be fixed or if it was being fixed and we were told she didn’t know and she went back to texting as if we were a bother to her. We were the only ones in the lobby with her and we received one word answers because a dang text was more important. Now my wife at that moment was ready to cancel the 2 rooms we had and move hotels but we let it slide and left. Well when we arrived back to the hotel after visiting the gathering place and getting Lunch we realized our room was still over 77 degrees when I had turn the air down as cold as it would go hours before. The air would kick on for 2 to 3 minutes and then time out. The same thing was true for the other room we booked. We spoke with a different and very nice lady at the desk that night and a gentleman checked it out and by-passed the system the best he could but the coolest the A/C would get to is 75 degrees. It doesn’t sound warm but we slept that night with no covers and sweat most of the night. Until the management and employee issues are fixed and dealt with we...
