Comfort Suites North Tupelo — Hotel in Tupelo

The Comfort Suites are great for their price and location, but thats it. The rooms come with a microwave and fridge which is a plus. Also the a single king room could realistic sleep 4 - 5 people when you factor in the couch + pull out bed. However things take a turn. While its a good room with a functional tv mount, it wasnt the cleanest. I understand there will be chipped paint here and there, but the stains of 'something' left on the wall isnt ideal. From my experience, the service could stand to be a little better. I called the day before checking in to ensure that it was perfectly fine to check in befire 3pm without an additional fee added on and was assured this was possible. The day of my arrival I sadly was told that unless i wanted to pay for a day and a half, the earliest I could check in was 1pm. Quite frustrating to say the least. The location isnt far from the Mall and most food outlets. I quite enjoy the somewhat secluded placement of the hotel behind a Lowe's. All in All, this is good for a day trip or a rest stop, but not sure for staying at for...

UPDATE.. the sweet older lady at the desk gave us new sheets tonight and they are much better. I told her about the noise and she told us to please let her know immediately if there was an issue with noise tonight! She’s awesome!

A friend suggested I stay in THIS, her friend’s hotel. However, I won’t come back. The only positives are the coffee, the sweet older lady at the desk, and it feels safe (because let’s face it..it’s on a pasture)! It’s way over-priced for the accommodations. My biggest complaint…Cheap bed linens! They are completely worn out with little balls on the fitted sheet. There’s no doubt cheap construction here with paper thin walls. There’s a soccer tournament in town and many families with kids. I love kids, but last night the kids above me sounded like they were having a WWE wrestle match above me and an Olympic relay race going on in the hallway. Also there is a flashing/blinking light in the front of the building it’s glowing into our window…ALL NIGHT LONG! We pulled the blackout shades together but they will not...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! They will falsely accuse you of smoking in the room and automatically bill you an additional $100 without any notification!! I’ve been trying to have the owner/manager, Vee Patel, return my calls for over a week to fix the situation, and I have yet to hear from him!! They think that since customers are required to have a credit card on file, that they can bill for whatever they want and just make ridiculously, false accusations!! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here, or any other hotel that this guy may own!! The rooms are WAY overpriced for the service that you will receive, and you run the risk of possibly having an additional $100 stolen from you!! Based on other reviews I’ve seen, I’m not the first person that has had this similar experience, and I’m certainly not gonna be the last!! You have been warned!!
