Scruggs Farm Lawn and Garden LLC — Local services in Tupelo

I visited Scruggs for the first time yesterday and was impressed with how many options were available. Several times while I was in the store associates stopped and asked it they could help me with something. All very friendly. I did have difficulty determining the price on several item I looked at but otherwise shopping was enjoyable. When we arrived at the checkout line with a bag of dog food and a socket replacement for a lamp, the young lady with long dark hair and an olive complexion didn’t greet us. She had a frown on her face and acted like she was completely put out that she was working. She told us in a snappy tone that she couldn’t scan the dog food. She looked on some pages taped behind the register and then through some pages stapled together and then punched something into the register and told me to insert my card. . She never told us the amount. After the transaction was processed, she handed me the receipt and still no verbal acknowledgment. As I was walking away I heard her greet the couple behind me with a friendly voice and ask if they found everything alright. Is this how visitors are treated? Called and ordered parts for a specific fix on our John Deer tractor. Told that they would be ordered and would come in the following day (Saturday). Called Saturday morning (early) and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up and called a couple of minutes (continuously put on hold)… finally told that several flats of deliveries had arrived and were being processed, call back in a few hours. Went over to the store several hours later. Was told at the front counter to go back to “Parts”. There were three employees behind a desk- only one was helping about a dozen people in line… long story short- after waiting and dealing with a very rude female employee (not the one helping people) later- we were told that there was no order placed in our name and no one could help us. We stated that we guessed that we would have to go somewhere else and that they would be losing a customer and was met with shoulder shrugs (in front of other waiting customers). NEVER AGAIN will I purchase from this business! I purchased a new GE washer and dryer from Scruggs on May 23rd. Both units were installed on the 26th. The dryer did not even work for 24 hours! Instead of contacting Scruggs when this initially happened, I contacted GE directly. They sent a technician to inspect the machine and found both boards went out. According the GE the part is back ordered until AUGUST! With no other options I contacted the store I purchased the machine and was told by the department manager I would have to contact GE, they do not offer any type of warranty for products. They did not offer any other options. So rather than standing behind the products they sell, they would rather stick it to their customers.
