Edit: Review was written while still frustrated and it shows in the spelling and grammar. My experience there was frustrating. I placed a mobile order as soon as I parked for a customized venti Pike Place coffee. I waited a few seconds and walked in because coffee rarely takes more than a few seconds. I walk in and walk to the mobile order area to look for my coffee. I do not see it anywhere so I stand around waiting for about 10 minutes. I thought they were brewing some Pike. Finally, one of the guys notice me waiting and asked me what I was waiting for and I tell him I have a mobile order for a Pike Place. He starts to get it but one of the girls steps up and pulls my coffee out from behind the short wall on the counter where it has been hidden the whole time I was there I'm guessing. It was in the very corner of the short wall so it couldn't be seen from either side by the customer looking for their order. I'm not sure what the purpose is in hiding there customer's mobile order is exactly. The Starbucks on Main St. puts it where you can see it and get it and go. By then I'm irritated and they give me a coffee cup with no sleeve so now I start looking for the sleeves. I don't see them on the counter anywhere so I go look where the sugar and creamer is. It's not there either. After irritably walking around the store with my coffee, which is actually lukewarm and didn't need a cup sleeve anyway, I finally notice that they have the dispenser on the counter on their side. At every Starbucks I gone to cup sleeves are openly available without resorting to reaching across the counter or begging for one. So I reach across and tear one out of the dispenser. Now of course I didn't actually need one of course because my coffee is lukewarm but I like to have one as a barrier so I don't get anything sticky on my hands. And I don't appreciate having to put that much effort in a transaction that should have been effortless. I should have walked in and my order should have appeared in a spot that customer can actually see and pick up my coffee and be able to grab a cup sleeve and go. Also I would figure if a customer walks in and immediately goes to the mobile order area or in that general area and doesn't go to the other end to place an order then he must have the mobile...
Read moreI've never had a bad experience at any location until today. The Gloster Street, Tupelo, MS location was a giant mess. I did a mobile order because I know they can stay busy. It said my order would be done at 5:03 PM. I go inside and let them know that I did put drive-thru by accident inside of picking up inside. She told me they were a little behind. Understandable. There was a man that was waiting in front of me for his mobile order. He asked about it. He asked him if the app told him when it would be ready. He said yes, it was supposed to be 4:57 PM. She apologized for it being behind. I'm not sure why she apologized to him for waiting an extra couple of minutes, because he walked out at 5:04 PM. She also told him to make sure to come back and enjoy a drink on her. As I'm standing there, numerous people walked in, went to the counter and ordered (I watched them order AND pay), receive their drinks, and leave. My drink was supposed to be done at 5:03 PM. I didn't walk out of that store until 5:28 PM! I waited 25 minutes while a few others got theirs ahead of me. I never received an apology of any sorts. Highly disappointed in how it was...
Read moreThis may be the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. There was no line inside, and I stood by the register for about 5 minutes while the staff ignored me. I finally asked if I could order a coffee, and the cashier asked me to wait while she took her time organizing back stock pastries. I ordered a drip coffee with a little milk. The cup poured was half full of milk. Instead of pouring out some and topping it off with more coffee, the cashier poured out the whole thing. And then said all the drip coffee was now out (at 10am.) Although, I hadn't been rude about anything, I think this was done on purpose to make me wait longer. So I sat down to wait for the new batch to brew. She was making me wait for the entire coffee bin to brew, even though there was enough for a small cup by this time. Finally, another barista who works on espresso, saw I had been waiting for some time, and filled up my cup. Overall, very unprofessional and passive aggressive service here. Getting a coffee here was my longest...
