Best thing was we were right on beach, first day here, the air conditioner did not work, the main bathroom shower didn't work at all and the place is definitely due for a major remodel. The pocket door to the 2nd bathroom got stuck with my gdaughter inside so my son n law had to "save" her. The 2nd day there the numbers started falling off the code pad and we were unable to get in the room. That being said the repairs were made in a timely manner and maintenance that we delt with were friendly and efficient. I only saw the ground maintenance people clean the pool deck once, added chemicals to pool once and never saw them do any other maintenance to the pool the whole week we were there. The signs and online say NO PETS however I saw more dogs than I ever have down here. The photos of the condo we rented must have been taken 20 years ago...the wall decor in photos was the only thing still here..... The people in the building you have to get your parking pass ( building C) were RUDE. I told her my name, tower and apt number and she very rudely stated " Well I can get you the parking pass but that's all I can do, we don't manage "THAT PLACE...and turned her little nose up so high she may have drowned if it started to rain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE DUNES A 708 . 7 floors to this building and 1 working elevator....oh and you also have to take your own garbage out and to the big green dumpster by the front gate...you must provide all toiletries ie toilet tissue etc. The advertised tiki bar and grill were only open 2 days of the 6 and according to Booking.com they were 7 days a week. Do not recommend this place maybe if we had a better unit but this was like staying in a slum...Bikini Beach was better than this!! I want to reiterate every person I spoke to about the issues were friendly and courteous and had everything taken care of in a timely manner. The issues in our unit were not the Dunes of Panamas issue it was that of the owner I am sure with the false pictures and condition of the unit. I always received a prompt response and everyone @ Vacasa was excellent. The girls at the desk who so rudely informed me they couldn't help me with anything else cuz we don't rent those were rude and immature and more concerned with the young gentleman standing beside the counter 😉. The unit were had was honestly horrible junky and just not taken care of ....needs lots of repair and maintenance and for what they charge they can definitely...
Read moreDO NOT rent unit E1402 the owners will faultsly accuse you for damages and keep your deposit. But, if you must. Please heed to the advise and take pictures when your 13 year old son tells you this place is junky and shows you a hole in the arm of a chair the moment you walk in start taking pictures! When you bend over to plug your phone up to a outlet between your bed and night stand and see a bloody bandage in the floor and a empty water bottle and dust three inches thick along the walls and under the bed take pictures. Oh, and not to mention if there's a vacuum cleaner try it out also and record yourself doing so. Because apparently we broke it too and didn't even touch it along with we done awat with the top for trash can that was not even ther eother. And, lastly we apparently tore the rack off the wall that holds the broom in the laundry closet. If the broom and the broom rack had fallen down it was because we were asked to load the washing machine with all the towels and start it before leaving which it was completely over loaded. We washed one small load of laundry during our stay and the washing machine shook so badly we thought it was going through the wall. So, I am certain if the broom rack was down it was due to the washing machine shaking against the wall after we left. Your best bet is to keep looking for another condo so you do not become the next Family they scam out of their deposit. I pray this never happens to anyone else. I will also add the owner's did not even bother to call us. They sent a nasty email. Then when my wife tried to call and talk to, "Debbie" she was so rude it was impossible to make conversation. On a side note the Dunes of Panama in general is not a bad stay just the individual owners of unit...
Read moreIf you want to stay in a nasty condo...503 A is for you! We were greeted with dirty beds, disgusting floors, broken lamps, dirty showers, furniture covered in dog hair AND dried dog pee, dishes in the dishwasher that were DIRTY, a broken bed that was being held up by several wooden blocks. We checked in on Saturday - I immediately called the company to complain - they sent someone over who swiped at the floor and changed the bed linen and was there for maybe 20 minutes. Some guy shows up at 8:00 on Sunday while people were still sleeping to clean the nasty couch and chairs - We put a sheet over them and then they were wet so we still couldn't sit on them. I requested they move us to another unit several times or give me the money we had paid $2300.00 and we would go elsewhere. I was told several times that we would be compensated if we would just stay there. My daughter and myself cleaned the condo ourselves - We were compensated a whopping $400.00 and $210.00 of that was the cleaning fee. I have...
