We stayed in Unit E2101. Let me start out by saying the staff we dealt with were amazing. First, the unit was decorated in a cute manor. The complex was older than we like. The condo could have been cleaner. I found dried old food of a lot of the kitchen dishes. The first morning I made coffee in the coffee pot and when i filled with water the back reservoir had trash in it. There were a lot of electric receptacles that did not work or that did not have covers over them. The main sliding glass door did not close completely at the top of the door, enough to where you could see the outside from the inside of the unit. Also the bottom of the door looked very dirty or needing repainting extremely bad. The ceiling in several places was peeling pretty bad. On the balcony when it rained had a spot to where the rain fell on our balcony from the roof. The master bathroom shower had mold at the bottom of the shower doors. Also about 3 days in we noticed black small larvae moving in the master bath shower. We called and they came and look immediately. Then they called in an exterminator and he concluded it was drain fly larvae. The exterminator stated they did not have the proper spray to treat the larvae and it would have to be ordered. The front desk were told this and they offered to let us move units but we were leaving in the next 2 days so we decided to stay in that unit and just spray Clorox (didn't kill the larvae). The staff did comp our stay and we were ok with this resolution. We have always stayed at newer and nicer condos in Destin and we would not recommend this complex to any of our family or friends. The unit was recommended to us but we were not happy here. We did love the close proximity this complex was to the beach. The guys in charge of the beach chairs was very friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have a place right at the pool to grab lunch, snacks and beverages. The lounge chairs around the pool could be updated. The pool was nice. We only swam in the pool in front of the E building but we enjoyed it. There are other pools on the property but we just always swam at this one. The lobby was always kept clean and there was always carts in the lobby for items to be brought up to the unit. Parking was handy and we never had any issues. The beds were comfortable. Read moreGot to our room (room D504). Had to revacume and the vacume broke. Smelled like mildew. Something that looked like a shredded bug came out of the guest sink and the sink was slow draining. The washer smelt and had black mold all over the inner ring. The couches were gross and u could see the dirtiness on them. We asked to switch rooms the next morning. Went and looked at different rooms. The cleaning people were in the room we liked and said they would be done in 30 mins. When we were leaving the cleaning lady said there was a bad storm coming. So we went and told the office what room we wanted and asked how long it would be. They said after the cleaning people left and they would text and let us know. Well the storm was coming in and we were packed and still waiting over a hr later. So we started heading to the new building and it started getting really windy and I came in and said not trying to be rude but it's about to storm and I was wondering if the room was ready because the cleaning people told him they have been done because he ran into her in the elevator. So the office keeps telling me she can't get a hold of the cleaning people to let us in the room. Then I keep standing here and asked again how long now they are waiting on the room to be inspected by the cleaning people boss. I said u never said that so she proceeded to get loud with me and tell me that she said she would send a text when the room was ready and we already have a room to be in. I said a nasty room and it's about to storm. Why would we transfer in the middle of the rain! I said u should be trying to put us in our new room from a nasty one and then 3 of them proceeded to get loud with me. I have been standing in their office waiting with 3 of them just sitting around chit-chatting. 12:13 and not sure if it was a worker or friend just left now the other two are back to partially working and still no info on our room. The rooms and service is getting worse here each year. About time to find something else as I have been waiting inside the office while it still rains for an hour and my family is waiting on the elevator area of the condo. Received a call from my family and a man is inside the room inspecting it to see how clean it is, this is our new room C105. So let's see how long it takes for the system to update and these workers to let me know it's ready.... I will not come back to...
Read moreWe have stayed at this resort for many years and over these years we have enjoyed our staycation..the resort is beautiful but this year was very different..we have had complaints over the years with some beds or refrigerator or not being clean and yes we have reported why because they can't fix it with owners of the units if there not told..this year we were dealing with issues on different matters..and when we called a meeting with the c bldg manager to address this we was so disrespected by the manager Andrew..not only is he disrespectful and rude but very unprofessional..we were told if we didn't like how things were going to go find another place to stay..not only that he said he didn't want to here anything we had to say. I have never in all my years ran into someone that's so disrespectful and unprofessional and is not representing these owners that pay him for a job ..that job is to uphold the standards of this resort and he has an obligation to these owners which he is not doing.this week alone I have 6 different units being rented by friends and family members but I can promise you that this will change and he will loose on these units but with his additude he don't care..and for that he is showing that the owners of these units are being disrespected and are not doing the job that he has been paid to do .I have owned my own business and my husband also but never would we disrespect people that pay money for our services and our company..I just want to say Andrew you have lost alot of business this week through your actions and your unprofessional attitude..I and my family and friends will take our business somewhere else..over twenty years of dedication to this resort for you to destroy by your actions ..To the owners that use him to represent you and your condo think it.. this was supposed to be a special week of i and my husband and it's still going to be but like i said ..I was told by a staff member to go stay somewhere else..so it will be bitter sweet to leave this resort after all these years..when you treat people ugly ..it will come...
