We didn't have trouble finding parking, although it seems some people do because they have 2 parking attendants guiding the cars. We walked inside and walked through their gift shop before finding the cashier. All we saw on the menu were drink options (coffee, smoothies, etc.). We were confused because when we googled we saw food options. I asked the cashier where the food menu was and that's when she informed us that their food truck was located outside. We walked outside, under a covered area and found the food line. It took about 10mins for our turn to order. They do have a sign that says orders are made to order so it does take longer than fast food. There was also only 2 guys in the truck, doing everything. They have a variety of drinks but they are all bottled. They don't have foundation drinks and they don't have regular drinks (e.j. pepsi, coca cola, etc.) Their bottled drinks consist of Gatorade (few flavors), kombucha (few flavors), water, jarritos (few flavors), sugar-free lemonade (i do not recommend, it was extremely sweet), and a few others. It did take a while to get our food. So, its good that we ordered the tuna dip. We actually tried to order the ceviche but they didn't have any. The tuna dip is made with real tuna (i.e. not canned tuna). There were chunks of tuna in it. It was good. We were all hungry so we gobbled it up. I ordered the nachos with side of chips and salsa, for my daughter. She did not like the melted cheese on the nachos. She assumed it would be nacho cheese. I think she didn't enjoy that the tortilla chips were crisped at the ends and had a bit of a burn taste. My son had the chicken quesadilla with the side of fresh fruit. He assumed he would be getting mixed fresh fruit but all he got was bits of pineapple. My husband ordered the carne asada tacos and i ordered the fish tacos and a sald. Salad said mixed greens and cabbage with toppings but it wasnt a regular salad. It was mostly cabbage and toppings and hardly any mixed greens. I ordered it with the coconut lime dressing which tasted delicious on its own but the flavor disappeared within the salad. Everything looked delicious and colorful but sadly, it was just that. Even though the food was colorful, the flavors were just not there. The food was bland. A bit disappointing since everything looked promising. There was live music under a large tent, im assuming its another section of Finn's. Unfortunately they mostly did lots of talking and hardly any music. I love Christian music which is what they would play when they weren't preaching. Overall experience was just ok. Not sure why its rated so highly. Maybe they had an off-day? Regardless, we were only here on vacation so we wont be...
Read moreFood: Tuna Dip: 3/5 Smokey and ok but the chips are very salty. Cheese Dip: 4/5 A bit spicy but tasty queso dip. Steak Quesadilla: 4/5 Cheesey and filled well but the meat tasted overseasoned. Shrimp Burrito Bowl: 2/5 Seasoned rice doesn't have much flavor. Despite the many ingredients, the bowl didn't taste much of anything. I added queso after about half of it was eaten and it tasted a lot better!
Drink: Noli South Kombucha + CBD: 5/5 Noli South is a local kombucha brewery with an amazing water soluble CBD dropper. All the flavors on tap were so delicious. The server gave me a sample of each flavor and helped me get two 16 oz growlers to go.
Service: 4/5 The women inside were friendly and helpful. The men in the food truck outside seemed flustered but it was very busy when we arrived.
Due to the reply from the ACTUAL owner, I am editing my review and placing a review with the Surf store. --------------------------------------------------‐---------
Mr Surf Owner Experience: 1/5 The owner has wifi cameras set up in the establishment to see when the space is full and the owner takes advantage by popping in, starting some loud frequency music, and begins preaching to the crowd of people. While trying to enjoy my lunch as a paying customer, I was yelled at about God's glory in stopping the bad weather and told about a school shooting in which children were murdered in cold blood and: "If my child were at that school, he would not have died because he believes in God and God would have spoken to me to take my son out of school and the bullets would not even be able to pierce his skin." Why we would want to be forced to hear about that during my meal...? A friend of mine has a video recorded of a previous visit she made where the owner harassed customers for being on their phones. When they explained it was their Bible app so they could follow along, he yelled that they need a paper Bible to be a true Christian.
I will not be visiting again. As a paying customer, my party of 4 visited to conduct a study session before an exam next week. The owner's inconsiderate preaching takes over any environment that may have been...
Read moreFirst time here. Was heading to Lisas next door but saw the Bible verse on the sign of this place so decided to support it instead. Net the owner as we walking in who said they are a church without walls. Very friendly fella. Healthy food & coffee inside. Had coffee & a blueberry cashew muffin. Both good. Heavier foods at Finns outside in the trailer. Went to it for breakfast. Hubby had the Island Hash which he liked. I had the Mainland with bacon & hashbrowns & it was good. Would definitely get again. Would like to try lunch sometime. Very friendly folks.
Update: On another day I had the brisket quesidilla for lunch. It was good but a little dry. A little sour cream or queso on it would've been good. Last morning in the area, we went there for breakfast again. I got the Mainland again & hubby the breakfast burrito. I love their bacon & hash browns & asked for them to be made crispy. Delicious! Had a hot mocha from inside again & it was great as well. A little pricey but worth it.
Update: We ended up back in the area another few days & have been back twice more for the mocha. I get the hot & hubby gets the iced. Have tried mochas in lots of places but theirs is the best. Would like to know what they do differently lol. We've spent way too much money on coffees since...
