One of the BEST PUBLIC ACCESSES for (850!) locals! If you can’t get into the state park for whatever reason, this is the next best choice.. Of course the bathrooms alone are great to have access to when you’ve got the kiddos, that coupled with the availability of showers as you exit is really an awesome thing! But the availability of non-risk parking is the ultimate advantage over the rest. You can’t beat it!
{{while I’m reviewing this, it seems relevant to mention this other point, that almost every other “public access” point in this town is all but decorative & completely impractical for use... Oftentimes giving me the feeling that I am some kinda criminal (judged & found GUILTY of the crime of BEING LOCAL(?)/NOT LUCKY ENOUGH to be in a condo(?)...) by the time I leave I’m certain I may be the scourge of humanity or something...?? Maybe that’s just me? Lol. Idk...}}
Rick Seltzer Park is great! Just please don’t tell anyone, okay? Let’s keep it a sorta secret if we can folks, eh? I’m kidding of...
Read moreThis place far exceeded my expectations! The sand was soft and white! The water was beautiful & clear, you could see all all the way to the bottom! (Your feet were clear!) We got there at 7am & left at 1. There was only 1 other couple there at 7, & slowly others started showing up. It didn't start getting busy until close to 12. But it was still nowhere as busy as you'd think.. I'm sure the 'rona had something to with it, but I also had read plenty of reviews& they pretty much said the same thing.. This was not a crowed beach. Loved that they had bathrooms & wash off stations, & a walking platform that goes pretty far out to the beach. As a person with hip problems (I need a replacement) this is much appreciated!) As walking on that sand is a killer for my hip & back & definitely feel it it the next day too. As this was our first time ever coming to pcb, I can definitely say it won't be our last! We will be going back to this particular spot next time we are going...
Read moreThe park is basically a access point with a place to rinse off and there is a place for the beach patrol as well as a lifeguard shack This day I witnessed the EMS down behind one of the hotels they hauled a man in the back of the truck to the asphalt where a ambulance awaited to give him medical attention luckily the beach patrol saved this guy PEOPLE this is my home and it's a beautiful place to be......put your life jacket on it attach a floatation device to you in case you get in trouble in a rip tide because YOU chose to ignore the red flag STOP giving PCB a bad name when all they hear is 13 drowned on PCB and they left off the part that told why and where you were from. Ive lived here my whole life and I'm not ashamed to say "I do NOT swim in that ocean"!! It's a...
