I recently stayed with your hotel as part of a family reunion/ Christmas party. I reserved 4 rooms: 2 suites, and 2 regular rooms, for 2 nights All of the rooms had multiple problems. One of the rooms had silly string all over it. On the inside of the light shades, and on the ceiling above the bed. Another room had plumbing problems, where the toilet and tub were not functioning properly. There were large stains on the furniture, and food ground into the carpeting. The vinyl desk chairs were all damaged (in each room) to the point I wouldn't use them. The vinyl had been peeled up across the seats and on the back of the chairs. Along with this we found bugs in all the rooms. They were all very dirty! We had also rented the party room for our family reunion. The room wasn't ready for us at the scheduled time. The tables were filthy, they weren't set up as agreed, and every table was sticky like there was pop spilled over all of them. There was food and paper pieces all across the room from what I would guess was the last party. We found a vacuum (that was left in the room) and started to clean up what we could before our family and guests started to arrive for the party. While doing this the hotel employees actually came into the party room, saw what we were doing, turned around and left. Never offering to help, or saying anything about why the room wasn't set for us. There were also multiple outlets on the floor that had open holes on them right in the walk way to the buffet table. Clearly a trip hazard for anyone walking. (we placed chairs over them to avoid any accidents.) Then there was the bugs.... in the party room, the windows, were covered in box elder bugs. I understand the warm weather can bring out a few bugs, however there were tons of bugs getting into the food and on our guests. Part of your hotel experience is the pool and water slide. I arrived on Friday evening with my grandchildren, to play and relax in the pool. Around 8:30 we went to the pool, to swim before going to bed. When we entered the pool area, the water slide was turned off. There were multiple families with children in the pool. Their kids were climbing up the water slide from the bottom to the top, because it wasn't turned on.(like a slide at the park) I sat with my grandchildren in the pool, until just before 10. On my way back to my room I stopped at the front desk to find out if there was a problem with the water slide, and if it would be working on Saturday. The woman I talked to at the desk said " The water slide had been running all evening. And she had been sitting in the pool area until 9:50, when she shut the slide off for the evening." This was a straight out lie. (Even the other person behind the desk laughed, then turned away when she said this.) I was in the pool room for over an hour and a half, and the slide was never running, and she wasn't anywhere around. The next day, the water slide hours were posted from 2-10 pm. After not being able to use the water slide Friday night, my grand kids were excited, and could hardly wait to use the pool. They were in and out of the pool all morning. However by 2:30 pm I had to go to the front desk again, to ask them to turn the water slide on. We had chosen this hotel for our family Christmas party, because of its location and its amenities for our families to gather in. We were hoping to find somewhere we could use again next year to continue our family gathering. However we will be rethinking...
Read moreThe front desk staff are very helpful and quick to serve. There was no E check in, but the check-in process was just as fast as it is at any other hotel I’ve stayed at where there is.
My family and I stayed in a two queen suite. The room was clean with a door that separates the two queen beds from the sleeper sofa. We appreciated that separation; the kids can get so loud! There are two TVs: one in the bedroom with the queen bed and one in the living area with the sleeper sofa. Again, another touch we greatly appreciated.
Our two major complaints about the room are that unlocking the door was ridiculously difficult, even for a hotel room. Second, the AC did not work, which was a big issue considering how warm it was when we stayed.
Both of these issues can be addressed and fixed by a maintenance crew, so I don’t see why this would be an issue again in the future. To be on the safe side, though, should we stay again—and we plan to—we’ll requested a room different than 202 (unless the staff can confirm both issues were fixed by then).
We stayed on a weeknight, so I wasn’t expecting too much out of breakfast. I believe they served just the right amount for a week day: bread, bagels, muffins, yogurt, juices, coffee, eggs, sausages, waffles (no fruit). We would’ve liked a larger assortment, but considering the added risk of food waste, which is something we do not support, I appreciated the spread the offered.
Finally, for the pool. We went for the waterslide. We found out the night before it was only open on the weekends, but we were not disappointed by the hot tub or pool at all! The pool is pretty much part of a lazy river: it is shaped as such. While odd, it actually made swimming more fun! The kids burned so much more energy going back-and-forth along the “river.“ When other guests arrived at the pool, it wasn’t as cluttered, either, since we were all spread across the “riverfront.” The pool goes through 3 to 4 1/2 feet deep.
The hot tub is very large compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at. It sits in the corner and is 3 feet deep. Well not as hot as we would like (though we do like it hot!), we very much enjoyed soaking in it. The bubble jets don’t work very well, but that didn’t bother us because we don’t like bubbles, anyway.
We do plan to be back for another staycation, this time on the weekend to try out that waterslide. Front desk said that if you are a guest who stays overnight on the weekends, you can pay $10 each for two more additional guests to use the waterslide. I thought that was cool feature, something helpful you might want to know if you’re planning on going...

Finally, the pool. We came for the waterslide! Of course, we found out the night before that the waterside is only open on the weekends. While this was a bummer, we did enjoy having the entire pool and hot tub to ourselves. The hot tub is very large compared to other hot tubs we’ve been in. It sits in the corner of the room and is clover shaped.
The pool is an odd shape: imagine part of a lazy river. However, that made it even more fun to swim. It also made it easier to enjoy the pool when other guest started to arrive since we all weren’t congested in one area. The pool goes from 3 feet to 4 1/2 feet. It was cleaner and in better shape than most pools...
