We just needed a cheap place to stay as we were passing through. ||When we checked in, there were 2 workers. They told each they would avoid one room because it still had a "paint" smell, so they put us in a different room. They told us there was nobody on one side so it would be quiet on that side at least.||We dropped off our luggage before going to our meeting and there was a musty scent when you first walk in. ||||The room looked freshly painted but there was a bad scent and it wasn't smoke. We were OK with it, we have stayed at worse and it was 100.00.||||We settled down after we got back at like midnight. We just wanted a good night's rest as we had a 14+ hour drive ahead of us. My stepson used the toilet and said it barely flushed pee. ||||He took a dump and it clogged, no toilet plunger, the water didn't turn off so it flooded and was running into the carpet. (maybe explained the smell).||||There wasn't enough towels to stop it so my wife threw the blanket on it to try to keep it from going into the carpet. I turned the toilet water off.||||I called guest services and explained and asked for another room. Fortunately they had one available. They were quick to respond and very accompanying and did not give us a hard time at all.||||The 2nd room the main light switch wasn't working when I went in, that's when she said sh*t and that she didn't have anything else. I told her it was fine and I was able to get the light to work.||||So we moved all of our stuff from the other side of the hotel in downpouring rain and got to the room. This had a different smell but wasn't as bad as the first one. This also had fresh paint so may have been that but it didn't smell like paint but wasn't as musty.||||The toilet worked in the 2nd room and everything else was fine there.||||We had breakfast in the morning. We got there a little late so wasn't much left but I had waffles which were good. My son couldn't have anything he trusted because of nut allergies, but it was ok. ||||They were accommodating and I haven't seen the charge on my credit card yet so maybe they didn't charge me for the inconvenience. That might be my credit card being slow to post also. It was showing as a temporary charge but it dropped off.||||I have stayed at worse places. I give it 3 stars because the service and quick response and overall experience. We slept good and temperature was nice with the AC.||||I added photos of one of the rooms but I didn't get photos of the flooding. note. These were after photos of 2nd room the beds were made...
Read moreMy family and I was displaced due to the tornado. After staying in a shelter for two weeks we was able to stay two nights in a room....(by his grace and mercy we found someone to do month to month with us so we could get out of the shelter)... We really needed to stretch. By us having six children we let our teenagers take one room with two queen beds and the other room had two queen beds as well. We was on the third floor. Both rooms was side by side. There is an elevator. Inside the room is a coffee maker, coffee, cups, safe, microwave, refridge, hair dryer, a phone, and flat screen tv on the wall. I love the large mirror and art work over the beds. The beds are very comfortable. Deep sink large tub/shower. There's a pool there that closes at 10pm. They have vending machines but it took my husband money. They have breakfast on the morning. I'm not sure what time they stop serving it though. It's in a different building that's connected to the office. Also inside the office there's a small section where you can sit down at as well as take care of business. There's no atm machine. Walking distance from McDonald's, a gas station, Wendys, a church, and other near by places including the major freeway. There's also a drive thru check in. The staff We encountered was friendly. Both rooms was clean and neat. We enjoyed our stay and would most definitely come back. Thank you...
Read moreThe room we had was nothing like the pics, but that was not the issue. There was no carpet as we were told because we had our tiny dog with us which we paid extra for. The floors were dirty and from the looks of it did have any maintenance for a very long time. Under the beds there was dust n empty soda bottles. Went looking for our dogs ball that rolled under and saw that. The light over the vanity had to be jiggled in order to get it to turn on so we could see the mirror and vanity. The toilet had some kind of dirt that was not cleaned for a long time. The towels were kid sized and thin but did get us, average sized couple, dried. The light in the bathroom was very dim. Each light in the room had diff light colors, some dim, some brighter. The room smelled and was musty. The tub had a mat that I dared not to turn over to see even tho I did attempt, but was not able to peel it up! If we were going to be more than the 2 nights there we would not have stayed, but we were there due to a military function. The thing I thought was the kick, was the name Super 8 by Wyndham! We were...
