Absolutely great library! Have been going here since the time of "card" catalogs and remember how exciting it was as a child to learn to search for books the "old fashioned" way.
Has kept up with the times, now offers many computer terminals both to search for books and other materials as well as to browse the Internet or do school research. Offers black-and-white and color printing for minimal fees, and as part of Dayton Metro Library, you can search for materials online, reserve them, and simply pick them up here, too.
The library staff is eager to help and friendly. Many of them remember many library patrons by name, which I think is almost unheard of today! It's a beautiful, clean, well-organized library and likely will be even more so, because a new library building is currently under construction just yards away! Read moreI tried to use the printer at this location. I believe it was having some technical difficulties which is electronics. I swiped my card and it stated approved on the machine. There was a librarian who was incredibly rude and nasty to me who said that my card wasn't charged so I called the line after she insisted I continue to swipe my card. The $3 fee that is printed on the vending part where you insert your money was removed from my card. I informed the librarian and she said it wasn't they charge only $1 holding fee, however she could give me the benefit of the doubt this time. I come to this library often.
