If my husband wasn't such a Waffle House fanatic and the one by our house isn't always closed I definitely would have avoided this Waffle House. The cook had hair hanging out all over, she overcooked the hash browns, and couldn't seem to cook more than one meal at a time. And really that wasn't our problem. The server was sloppy. Very unprofessional. She acted like she was at home instead of her job. She only had one order ahead of us and that was a challenge even though I hear her tell someone that they were suppose to be take out only since they were under staffed but she has worked there 17 years she can handle it (obviously not)... I've worked Waffle House and served dine ins single handed. I would five tables aside take out orders and still managed without losing face. The soda was flat. The tables were dirty. She had a rude presentation of herself. I like being at a place where people are friendly and her whole tone just said white trash, my apologies but to break it down.. I normally generously tip if I see a server struggling or they do a great job and even still tip the not so good one's. She gave me her $3.00 service so I feel like that's what she earned. She definitely didn't go out of her way to make it a pleasant visit We definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there. Not with her as their server. She must know someone higher up because she definitely isn't there for being a...
Read moreI normally dine here frequently on a Saturday or Sunday morning. My favorite server is G. She's awesome. The morning crew on Saturdays and Sundays are. Except tonight on July 16, between 6:30p and 7:30p it was abysmal.
The cook? Cannot cook to save his life. The server? Cannot do her job at all. Both of them 100% need more training. When I walked in, there was one table with two girls in it.
Burned my hasbrowns, burned the ham in my ham and cheese omlet. Dude left the eggs in the blender for 5+ minutes because he was distracted helping the serve figure something out. On top of that, I asked for texas toast and was given white toast. Whatever. I also told the server that I wanted cheese and chili on the hashbrowns which she did not communicate to the cook about. I had to correct him because she couldn't do her job.
When the server was attempting to call out the orders, she just flat out had no clue what to say, when the cook asked questions other than "I guess that's what they want" or "I assume that's what they asked for". The cook had to go find out for himself what your...
Read moreThe definition of what greasy spoon diner should be. A variety of selections spanning breakfast, lunch, and dinner all available 24/7. And if they aren't open, you best be in a storm shelter because it's a dangerous day for humanity in the area.
Eggs and hash browns, just always spot on. Get the hash browns topped with what ever you wish as well. I also suggest, extra crispy.
The T-Bone is a good breakfast steak or add on if you just want some beef. It's not steak house quality, but it does the trick for breakfast or as an add on to some other dish.
Grilled chicken is always flavorful. Sometimes it can be a bit overcooked and dry, but when cooked perfectly you get a crisp outside and juicy inside with a nice flavor profile from seasoning. Get it toppee with grilled onions and add a touch of Tabasco.
And the chili varies in consistency, but each time it still has a satisfying flavor profile. Especially when you add Tabasco and Worcestershire.
Thankful for this place since they are always open when all...
