We are in town for a funeral and we were looking to get a room with a pool and hot tub. So we got on Booking.com. The website specifically said the room I booked had pool and hot tub access. So we booked! When I checked in at the front-desk customer service was absolutely terrible. I was put on the second floor, I asked if there was an elevator because I am disabled and before I could even finish my sentence she cut me off and said “No there is no elevator” in a very rude and condescending tone. She refused us a room on the first floor even though the website said there were rooms available for disabled people. I would have paid the price difference if there was one. After having to practically crawl up the stairs I got ready to go to the hot tub only to be it was closed for the season even though the website does not specify that the pool and hot tub are seasonal. (The pool and hot tub are indoor) At this point I was upset and decided to just watch tv only to find out I only have access to a handful of channels. I called the front desk from my room to inform them I had no access to the WiFi and asked how to get other channels if there were any, she said she would come up and help fix it but she never came up. I decided to just take a shower. The water was like warm, doesn’t get hot. As I am getting out the shower I realized I had someone else’s hair all over me and the towel I was drying off with. It was absolutely disgusting once again I called the front desk but couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. I am unable to just walk down to the front desk due to being disabled. This has been one of the worst places I have ever stayed.once I finally got someone on the line I did ask if there was someone else I could talk to and the front desk staff told me I would have to wait till morning to speak to a Manager to let them know the issues I have had or call booking.com and let them know my issues. (I did call booking.com first and they also did nothing to help with these issues) I now have a room I don’t need that I can’t get refunded even though most of the accommodation are unavailable or dirty. No pool No hot tub No WiFi No elevator Can’t get a room change if disabled and booked for a 2nd floor room Dirty towels/ bathroom Shower water is lukewarm warm doesn’t get hot Dirty microwave Only a handful of tv channels Awful customer service Their website also says free breakfast but after what I have witnessed I highly doubt there will be breakfast. Read moreMy stay didn’t go as planned….it was my birthday so I wanted a suite with jacuzzi I arrived and checked in front hand me room key to only find out it wasn’t the room I booked she switched my room I was pleased the next morning I called front desk to extend my stay I agreed to move to a basic room for cheaper price front desk agreed to let me stay in the room til my room was ready twenty minutes passed she knocked on the door to see when will I be paying I explain i would be there abt 15 20 minutes front desk or came back to the room twice more asking was we still staying I told them yes bf had to go to store to put money on card to book online for cheaper rate and the fourth time they arrive she told me I had to pay because my room smelt like weed which didn’t each time she came to room I only talked thru the door bc I wasn’t dressed plus it’s an outside hotel no way weed smoke or smell was lingering around my door It had rained earlier and the wind was blowing and anybody in there right mind wouldn’t be smoking weed in there room knowing they’re abt to switch rooms to extend there stay and plus it was a suite with two rooms the front room was an seating area with closing double doors to the room mind you it took coming to the room four times and finally mentioning a weed smell…. The delicious breakfast spread offered with the dining area should be the delightful start to every tour with the beautiful Vidalia. I couldn't get enough of the Bigelow's organic green tea we enjoy here, I may have eaten to many waffles—the breakfast added the refreshing touch with the comfort we all should enjoy. The rooms were equipped with the clean cold fridge, the convenient coffee makers, the clean quality microwaves, with the efficient climate control making the stay incredibly convenient with us.
The impressive attention of the detail of the room amenities left nothing wanting. The ironing board with the hair dryer came in handy, but the great hot shower of the ultra-clean bathroom helped me feel rejuvenated after the long day of exploring. The arrangement of the room was thoughtfully designed with the comfort the priority, with the well-placed desk with the ergonomic chair making it easy to catch up with the work of the plan with the itinerary.
The presence of the USB charging ports of the bedside tables with the additional charging ports under the flat-screen TV certainly are the thoughtful touch making the charging of the devices the breeze. The super comfortable KING SIZED BED, the dream to sleep on, ensuring the waking up refreshed, we're ready to take on the day.
Overall, the stay at with the Quality Inn Vidalia exceeded all we had heard. The combination with the attentive staff, the delectable breakfast options, the well-equipped rooms with the impeccable cleanliness made the experience unforgettable.
