So I will try to make it short. I had been speaking with the Assistant GM Alysa since February when the hotel opened. Me & My family was coming into town for my Great Grandmother's birthday that me and my mother was throwing. I had sent a credit card authorization, my work ID, and state ID because I am government affiliated and I was paying for the 3 rooms under the government rate. The rooms were listed under my mothers name so she could get the points but Alysa knew I was the one paying for them. So Alysa failed to let her team know as she said she would what was going on so that this could be a smooth transition. I called the night before to make sure they had everything because I never heard back when i sent the email. A agent name AJ had noted the accounts with the additional guests name and put that the credit authorization was received so that they would use it. The first guest arrived around 3p.m, they charged my unauthorized debit card while I'm on the phone with my chef while she is checking in, I told her to ask Stephanie G, who was the agent checking her in, what was the last 4 of the card she was using. She provided 4 numbers I couldn't recall, but i told her that isn't the numbers to the credit card authorization I sent. She proceeded to charge my unauthorized debit card, I asked for Alysa, they said she was gone. I had told Stephanie Alysa said she would give you the rundown of my family coming in so we wouldn't have trouble. Stephanie had no idea what was going on. Alysa had told her nothing in these 2.5 months I've been talking to her. 30min later Alysa is calling because they told her I was upset, she then proceeded to basically say it was my fault because I never told AJ my name but in the same breath says he notated the accounts about the authorization and the additional guests but he didn't know my name after addressing me as Miss Rogers and opening an email with my name and full credentials. I was more upset that I had to send my personal information through email and it wasn't even used. Alysa wasn't trying to hear what was done wrong she was too busy blaming AJ and Stephanie G. Alysa then went back and charged my credit card, I told her she just tied up 2 card with taking money that isn't going to be available to me for the next 7-10days. She basically was like oh well it will fall off, not caring if this was the only money I had for the weekend. I then arrived 2 hrs later, and what do they do when I get there, the same exact thing. Alysa was magically gone again.
Sunday was check out. I finally got to see Alysa in the flesh. I showed her both my accounts, one which was negative 461.74, the other that had been charged for 1,282.96. She basically was like ok what's the issue? Again no consideration that she messed up and I have one account negative and one where you took almost 1,300 in avaliable credit. She was just like oh they will fall out in 5-7 days. 5-7days? that's 5-7days my account is negative, that's 5-7days I have 1300 floating in the air which those funds aren't avaliable for use. Alysa is not a good fit for management, she will blame anyone so that the blame isn't on her. She didn't try to rectify the situation if anything she made it worse because she wasn't listening and she is the one who proceeded to go charge my credit AGAIN on Sunday for 232.72. Me and my family will no longer be staying there as long as Alysa is the one in charge. She is unprofessional and doesn't work well under pressure.
I forgot to also add that My Aunt who had a random guest open her room door between the hrs of 10-11:00p.m! She just had returned from our Grandmother's party and her kids were getting undressed and someone just open the door and the lady screamed omg this is someone's room. My Aunt called down and the gentleman frantically said NO NO I didn't give someone your room, can you send them down. If he didn't give someone a key to her room. Then what happened? All privacy...
Read moreWe stayed for one Night at this Hotel on our way returning from a Cruise in Orlando FL, in order to make our ride home a little less the next day. We were given Room 313. The Hotel has a Modern and New feel to it, but can use a bit better on the Housekeeping, because the Floor was a bit dirty in the Bathroom with Hairs all over it. Also in the Bathroom were very Tiny Ants crawling around. The Staff were okay, not overly friendly, but just stuck to business if you needed anything that they could help, in other words, just doing their jobs respectfully was all.||In our Room the Alarm and Clock display was not working at all, it was with a blacked out screen only, and the Hot Water Pressure was poor in our Room 313. Also, the following Morning at exactly 11 am, which is Check Out Time, someone came knocking on our Door to get out on Time, which to us was kind of unnecessary and annoying to have done.| |However, the Hotel is really conveniently located next to some Restaurants within a very short walking distance, and there is also nearby a Walmart Supercenter. The Hotel has an Outdoor Swimming Pool and a complimentary Business Center in the Lobby area, and a Fitness Room and a Guest Laundry Room, along with a nice complimentary Breakfast with plenty of seating.||Although we like the location of the Hotel and the Modern look to the Hotel's decoration, but the Low Hot Water Pressure and the Tiny Ants in the Room will have us think twice before staying there again, we would only consider it if we had no other choice for a better stay...
Read moreFIX YOUR A/C SYSTEMS. I was prepared to give this hotel a 5 star review due to its cleanliness and modernized atmosphere. Then after laying down and trying to fall asleep I realized that their A/C units have horrid features that basically force you to sleep in an oven. Feature one that they have enabled only allows guests to lower the the temperature of the room to 68 degrees. I ALWAYS keep my thermostat at 64 because I am a hot sleeper, but I was willing to deal with the 68 degree limit for the night (felt like a child being told not to touch the thermostat even though I am paying for the room)!!! The second and worst feature of all that they have enabled is a motion sensor that tells the A/C unit to not kick on if it does not detect movement in the room. That is asinine! I was laying in bed getting warmer and warmer! No wonder! This is totally uncalled for. This hotel charges good money for their rooms, the least they can do is not be so cheap that they have to force guests to try and sleep in an oven in the name of “saving energy”! I stay in 2-3 hotels per week and have NEVER attempted to escalate an issue to corporate offices but this will be first. I will not rest until I get a answer as to why this hotel has done this and hopefully persuade them to change it. I have stayed in many Holiday Inns and this is the only one I have had...
