DO NOT BUY THIS….My wife and I have had our sleep number mattress for less than 4 years. About a week ago we noticed one side isn’t holding air anymore. We contacted customer support who said we needed to trouble shoot the problem ourselves. So we were able to determine the air chamber (fancy words for inflatable mattress that fits between the foam inside the bed) has a leak. We call customer service again and they advise us our warranty is pro-rated and we will be responsible for a portion of the cost to replace parts, fully responsible for cost of shipping/taxes, and all technician fees. I explain to their customer service I wouldn’t need a technician if their faulty product worked properly in the first place but they explain they are only responsible for replacement parts. Read moreMy wife and I had just spent part of a Friday night listening to the great deal and what a great bed her brother and wife’s new Sleep Number bed was. We had bought a bed just a year ago and we were already looking for a new one. The next day, my wife and I are headed over to Sleep Number in Visalia California after speaking with Julian their manager earlier in the day. My wife has had two back surgeries and I’m recovering from one right now. I’m going to tell you laying on that bed was like a breath of fresh air no pressure points. I could adjust my side to what I needed and my wife could adjust hers. If I needed to have it firmer so I could do some of my PT I could easily adjust. With the phone app, it was easy to zero in on the magic numbers. We are definitely looking forward our new Queen size...

They sell you on a 25 year warranty (when in reality it’s a “pro rated” warranty, and they do not tell you that at any point until it’s too late) and when something actually needs to be fixed or replaced even after paying 10k for the bed they charge you to pay for the replacement parts and $100 for them to come out. The beds are really just an air mattress surrounded by foam and they are trying to charge us over $500 for new foam. We are so displeased by the bed, its lack of being able to hold up after only a few years and the terrible customer service we received in store and on the phone with corporate we switched to Tempur-pedic and sleep number will never get our business or money again.
