Went to Olive Garden for the first time ever with my 2 daughters and we were very excited because we've always heard about this restaurant but it's not available where we live.
We first got there and was told there is a 20 min wait even though we saw so many empty tables, but we didn't mind as there was a seating area. 5 minutes later they told us our table was ready. After a little wait we met our waitress and placed an order. The manager must have heard it was our first time there and said we can select any appetizer and it's on the house. This was super kind! We ordered the ziti's. Super yummy to the kids and they loved that cheese Alfredo dipping sauce too! I ordered 2 kids means and a soup and salad.
I told our wait staff that I'll order the kids meals first and think about my order because the kids are really hungry. But then I ended up just ordering minestrone soup and salad. We heard about the reputation the breadsticks had which is what we were looking forward too. We just assumed it would come with the food ad bread usually does.
After a short wait, the minestrone and salad came. That was all fine. The kids waited and waited. It took so long for their kids meals to come. In fact I had to wave to the waitress to ask again. By now...my food was done and the kids couldn't care less to share the salad or soup with me. We didn't even think of the breadsticks (we forgot). After a long wait, maybe 30 mins after we ordered came the kids meals with 2 cups of water in disposable cups. They were so hungry I I think of much. And we were so busy in conversation too.
We later realized we didn't get the breadsticks so I had to wait to see our waitress. I finally saw her and asked...she said she forgot. We got them...they were so good actually but we should have had it before the meal.
I had to wait a long time again to finally ask for the bill. We couldn't find our waitress. When I got the bill, I didn't get a receipt for the breakdown as the screen she showed me was for the tip and then she left. Usually they stand and wait right anyway, I ended up paying more than expected. Still gave the fair tip. Walked out in the pouring rain and when we got to the car we realized she never served my kids their drinks they ordered. It was just a very weird experience for our server to be so forgetful. I guess if she showed me the receipt I would've seen the items. Anyway, the service was poor besides the very nice restaurant manager. The food was good...we really liked the salad, the ziti and the kids meals. I didn't know it was unlimited soup and breadsticks or any of that stuff. It would have been nice to know this. It would have been nice for our server to explain things to us as it was our first time there and she clearly new this.
Not sure if I'd go back to one but we are glad we finally got to eat at an...
Read moreVisited Olive garden at this location with some enthusiasm, since its been some time, i visited Olive Garden. Firstly the table we were provided was to a corner, we thought it would better if can change, seen 2 tables are empty in middle, hence requested the Front staff for change, they simply denied. Later the waiter comes in to take the order, we try to order Lasagna with vegetarian option, which we do all the time, and the person simply says the dish does not have a vegetarian option, we tried to explain him , after couple of time going back and forth, he looks at the screen available on table, checks something and then finally realized vegetarian option is available and took the order.
Next we order 2 appetizers and 2 entrees, for 4 members, waiter started giving all this attitude , facial expressions, and says something like you guys are 4 members and you only ordered 2 entrees. We told him we will order other entrees / deserts later, if we are not full. He again starts giving attitude and facial expressions kind of ridiculing the order.
At this point i lost my patience, just asked him , was there something wrong, and whats all the attitude about. He is like "EXCUSE ME" in a very aggressive tone. Common sense in any service related field is when a customer / client is not satisfied, we try to convey an apology and find out whats the issue and rectify it, but this guy is straight away ready to fight. Meanwhile the supervisor got involved and i requested for a change of waiter. Thats it none of them have regret for their behaviour, and i was told the waiter is one of their best, i was scared to imagine what would their average waiter sound like !!!
When we go to a place such as Olive Garden , we expect high standards, customer friendly, and even if someone is new to menu, you would be courteous in explaining things and convey your restaurant policies if required. But this is absolutely ignorance, unfriendly, rash. It seems like they give you cheap looks based on your ethnicity and your order.. So for the sake of respect we have to order entrees, irrespective of whether we can eat or not!!! Over and above even the pasta is half cooked. Not even a single apology from any of the staff.
Never experienced such ridiculous experience in any restaurant. !!! Never visit or...

My recent outing to Olive Garden turned out to be a culinary misadventure that I'm compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the aura of indifference among the staff was palpable. The service was nothing short of a letdown; our requests were met with apathy, and it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than valued patrons.
The culinary disappointment continued as we delved into the dishes. To my dismay, the food arrived cold, as if it had been waiting for its grand entrance for far too long. The flavors, overshadowed by the fact that the temperature was way off, were uninspiring. The most memorable aspect of the meal was an unmistakable stench, something that should never accompany a dining experience.
Even the ambiance failed to salvage the evening. The once-inviting interior now seemed lackluster, and the state of the floors was a visual testament to neglect. Dirty floors not only tarnish the overall atmosphere but also raise questions about the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness.
In hindsight, choosing Olive Garden for a dining experience was a regrettable decision. It's disheartening to witness a place that was once synonymous with a pleasant dining experience fall so far. I sincerely hope this feedback prompts improvements because as it stands, I cannot fathom recommending this establishment to anyone seeking a satisfying meal and pleasant dining atmosphere. Because to be honest the best part of the meal was the chocolate at the end, my soup had no seasoning or taste. The chicken Alfredo was disgusting and my chicken was cold, the whole meal tasted like it was microwaved. It was a traumatic experience for me and I wholeheartedly hope that no one goes...
