Bojangles — Restaurant in Waynesville

This may be the worst fast food restaurant I've ever been to! Took my 14 year old and 4 year old thru drive thru. We got 2 combo breakfasts and one ham & egg biscuit. Got to the window and received the food in a tiny little bag that looked like it was made for 1 combo. We got home and opened it up to find that non of the biscuits were even wrapped!!!!! My daughters ham n egg biscuit was in 2 parts! The top half and egg were at the bottom of the bag and the bottom at the top on the 2 orders of completely smashed and mangled potato rounds. You would think it couldn't get any worse as we had to play jigsaw to reassemble the totally mangled biscuits but oh yes, it could. All of a sudden my son freaKS out as he is eating a round as I watch him slowly start pulling a long hair out of his mouth about 6 or 8 inches out attached to a piece of biscuit. Barf!!!! I open up my biscuit and it looked like someone had eaten a 1/4 of the sausage patty and my egg ice cold! I can rest assure you we will never ever be there again. I have never bothered to write a review on a restaurant in my life as I am one of those who simply never goes back, but this was truly the absolute worst excuse I've ever seen!! 80% of our food went in the garbage. I only live about a mile from the restaurant and I wouldn't even go back to get my money from this hole! I'm a GM at another local restaurant in Candler and I'll tell u this if one of my guest brought me a bag that looked like this my whole staff would be replaced! Definitely never going back and will be letting all my friends on allens creek know about it. I just wish to God I was a health inspector, because at the vision of this bag of food or crap to be honest I would shut this place down. The only good thing that came out of this experience was that when I have my next employee meeting in March, I always use personal experiences in restaurants to help enlighten and coach my employees. This bojangls will be the main topic of discussion on every aspect possible going really...

Updated 7/28/22 wowza! Just when I wanted to give this place another shot... listen... you can serve me carboard fries OR you can whine about gender pronoun politics (unasked) BUT you can't do both. What the heck is up with this location? Do you seriously think I want to hear your opinions on "pronouns" while you server me cold cardboard french fries? Come on!

Manager (Brooke) sent two employees out for a smoke break instead of assembling my stale, hard fillet biscuit. Meanwhile, inside, two more employees stood around (one was "training" the other which consisted of saying "I'll teach you how to do X later." I asked them to help and one just shrugged and literally said "meh." The manager wasnt much more helpful. I sat and finished my cold rice and dinner before the rest of my complex order could be out to me (one single plain biscuit) and when I went back up to the counter and told them I no longer needed it because I wasnt getting it to go, the same "meh" employee slowly went to get it anyway... she had been continuing with "training" the other employee instead of bringing out the food. I asked for my money back, she literally huffed and yelled for the manager, who said they were busy getting orders out the door. I told her that maybe they should finish up the orders already paid for and waiting inside. I was refunded the money for the one, single, plain biscuit which, as far as I know, sits lonesome on the counter to this very day. Oh yeah... they didn't have any chicken either. I guess I'm just a difficult customer with unrealistic...

Can anyone provide insight on if they still open at 5? December-Mid February, I would always arrive right around 5 to get my husbands breakfast then rush it over to his work. Somewhere around mid-February or March they stopped opening at 5. I would arrive at 5 and hangout til 5:05-5:08 before going to Hardee’s because I could not wait any longer. I tried calling while in line in hopes that the staff there would at least answer and clarify their hours for me. However, they would never answer their phone either. I stopped trying to go but last week tried again two days and the same thing happened with my leaving at 5:07 and 5:10 to go to Hardee’s instead(it’s the only other fast food open at 5am this side of town). This morning I went again and I just hung out til 5:03 before leaving so I wouldn’t be rushing as bad.

The only reason I think they might supposed to be open at 5am is the bojangles website still states they open at 5am not 5:30am or 6am. I also never noticed any signage stating a change in hours. Any insight is appreciated and if the hours were changed and I just wasn’t aware I will of course change my review.
