If I could give it zero stars I would... Before we checked in and at the time of check in we specifically requested an extremely quiet room, because we are light sleepers. It was confirmed verbally that our room would be quiet. It was not, we could hear the noise from the interstate and every step the people above us took - especially when the children were jumping around and off the beds. We asked to be moved and the woman at the front desk, insisted that there were no other rooms available - upon questioning this, we found there were, but she continued to refuse to move us because we had booked a suite. We told her we didn't need the suite we needed quiet. She offered us the room across the hall, because it was also a suite and apparently those guests had not yet arrived. The room also had a window on the interstate side of the building, so we told her we would stay put. When we called about the noise upstairs, she very rudely told us that there was a wedding and quiet hours didn't start for another 5 minutes and she refused to call them to stop jumping off the beds and landing so loudly we thought they might come through the roof. She needs some lessons on what it means to provide quality customer service. On Saturday, another, much nicer front desk clerk moved us to a smaller and quieter room. If your company policies and procedures make it impossible to provide quieter accommodations and quality customer service, you should consider changing them. If the front desk clerks and managers are enforcing policies and procedures that do not exist to make their jobs easier and the customers less happy, your employees should...
Read moreIf I could give them zero stars, I would. I never even stayed at this Hampton Inn. We made a group reservation and then our plans changed. When I called back to cancel my room, I discovered they had added 4 extra rooms to our group in my name. I canceled all of the extra ones including the one I had actually booked for myself. I explained that the rest of the group would be calling back individually to cancel their own rooms if needed. Some did. Then one person in our group said their room had not been canceled bc they called back to double check. I called again, they still had my room and had canceled two that needed rooms. I explained it again. They assured me they had it worked out. I advised the people in our group to all call and check on their cancellations or reservations. They did. It was all messed up. I called again. The woman who helped me just laughed and said, “just tell them to call and rebook if they need to.” I confirmed for the third time that my room was cancelled. Two days later I have a charge on my card for a room. I called AGAIN. The woman was extremely unprofessional, put me abruptly on hold three times to do who knows what. And told me she would refund my money but really she shouldn’t because her staff never messes up so it’s obvious I never called and cancelled, and if I looked on my HHonors account I could see the room. My account actually shows FOUR cancellations and zero missed stays or booked rooms. She wouldn’t listen and kept implying I was lying. I do NOT recommend dealing with this location as they do not understand the concept of making, keeping or canceling...
Read moreA little gem of a hotel. We had trouble finding place for a nights stay for our last night of a four week road trip. We needed a pet friendly with reasonable good reviews. We looked and was having trouble finding one that would fit our needs. We travel with our toy poodle, Jolie Fleur. After looking at many reviews and making a couple of calls, we thought we might need to keep driving. We made a last call to this hotel. They had availability and even though it was a little higher than we usually pay per night, we took it. We had been driving all day and we were ready to take a rest and have dinner with a good night's rest. That is what we got! The staff was amazing and very friendly. The hotel was older but it looked like it had updated, very tastefully. We had a king bed with a very nice size room and the bathroom was very sizable. Ours had the walk in shower with water control opposite of the shower head, which I love! The bed was very comfortable and I must say, the AC was spot on cool, you know it works well when you have to turn it off because your so cold! The breakfast area was a great layout end there was plenty of seating available. The food options were nice, and would be able to meet most dietary needs. I love the elevators they were larger than than other hotels, which means a lot when you have to bring a lot from your automobile. The location was so convenient, just off the 70 interstate and plenty of shopping, great restaurants very close by. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling in this area, its worth it! What I have learned, pay a little more get a...
