The Tattooed Dog — Restaurant in Wentzville

If I could give negative stars I would! Worst experience of my life…

Where to start…. This place was no where near upscale…. My family of 5 decided to try the tattooed dog for the first time this past Sunday morning.

The 17 year old waitress was so rude and while they were in the middle of a “rush” was standing behind the counter looking out over the dining room doing nothing. When I ordered a Tequila sunrise it took 20 minutes to receive and came out room temperature and my husband had to remind her to either put it in or go get it.

When we first sat down I asked (who I later found out was the manager) for a high chair for my non verbal 5 year old. I waited 25-30 minutes before I just got up and got it myself.

When the food did finally come out, (it was sitting in the window for 15 minutes) the kids hot dog was EXTREMELY burned. And my husbands burger came out under cooked and flavorless. My moms burger came out with the egg over cooked and cold. My daughters cheese burger while nothing was noticeably wrong with it she took 2-3 bites and pushed it away. Which is never normal for her. She will eat almost anything… so there was clearly something wrong with it. I after seeing the travesty that was that hot dog I sent my food back I was completely grossed out. Who knows how they keep the kitchen.

When we asked for ketchup (I get why it’s not on the table because of COVID) they brought 2 small cups of ketchup for a table of 5 when everyone at the table clearly needed ketchup based on what they ordered.

When I complained the manager with black hair and the blonde 17 year old waitress were both rude and confrontational. If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be ashamed of the people that I hired to do this job. There are so many people who would love to have a job to support their families during this time and you chose these people who were absolutely PITIFUL at doing their jobs.

Oh and the noise…. I had a headache just being in that place.

On top of everything else that happened… the waitress never did bring the 2 sprites for my kids, and when I brought it to her attention on the way out the door, she rolled her eyes at me and cussed me under her breath.

I’m not stopping here… I will be putting this everywhere that accepts reviews on this restaurant including my blog and I hope I can save someone else from going to this restaurant to receive this kind of treatment and service (I will make it my mission to SEO better then your official website so when people search for you they will find my review first). 12/10/23 was my first time eating here. She had ate there previously said it was good so we stopped in.

I proposed to her on 09//24 but we did not have the ring from the jeweler until that evening. So she would be receiving the ring for the first time. When we got there, we were greeted by the hostess. She showed us to our table and introduced us to our server, Natasha.

Right off the bat, the place smelled absolutely amazing. Looking around the place was trendy, clean, had a nice bar and dining areas. We ordered our food, and she got up to go wash her hands. While she was washing her hands, I asked Natasha if she could bring the ring out with her food and I explained the situation. Natasha said that she would be happy to and would think of something. I never for a second expected anything like what we received.

I mean, I don’t even know that they had a dessert menu, but they came up with this amazing dessert that looked a gorgeous. The strawberries were cut in the shape of roses, and she even brought out champagne. The staff throughout the restaurant began clapping and cheered after she got a ring.

Oh yeah, the food!? The food was as great as the evening was. Tasted great. It was cooked perfectly. if you enjoy loaded fries, you’ve got to try their. Definitely setting a new standard when it comes to that!

I have updated my review for the simple reason of them responding to my review. I am a firm believer that we all make mistakes and have off days. It's not the mistake that matters but, what we do with it. This truly sounds like a company that does value their customers and strive to improve. I honestly couldn't ask for anymore than that. Wow where do I start? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! We went in to get a to-go order and have a drink at the bar while we waited. Placed our order the young lady handed me the card reader and walked away. So I finished the transaction and went to sit at the bar with my husband. The girl (half blond hair half black hair) left the bar only came back to grab her food. The entire staff sat at the server station by the food window on their phones the entire time. No one even asked if we wanted a water. WOW customer service w/o a smile in every aspect! It’s like we were interrupting their Pajama party!!! Looks like everyone wore their sweats they slept in to bed rolled out of bed came to work. Made sure that we could feel they didn’t want to be there. There was us and 1 other table. We waited about 25 min for food (not a big deal) but how is it all these employees and no service really to speak of. As a business owner I hope that you’re able to use this to coach your staff to represent you and how to teach them how to take pride...
