I booked this hotel for one of our employees. To stay April 8th 2024 She is a commercial over the road driver and was meeting a vehicle in the morning at 9:30 in Wentzville and driving an important trip to Alabama. The room was prepaid. She arrived about 11::30 at night. She was asked for a cc for incidentals. She gave hers and it was declined. She then offered $100 cash and was told no. She called the company and got me. I asked the hotel to email me an authorization for the incidentals. I eventually received a not fillable form. I took pictures of my company Amex card front and back & drivers license and wrote an authorizing note and expanantion i could not fill in the form i didn't have a scanner or printer at home and sent it to the front desk person. I was informed if i cant fill out the form they cannot do anything. It is now 12:15am. I thought they had checked our lady employee in, but they did not she was told to wait. I worked on getting the form sent to someone that could convert it to a fillable form - an inconvenience for them after midnight and got that done and sent to me and i sent it to the hotel. It is now 1:00am. I called the front desk to be sure they had what they needed. At 1:15 I was told they need another email from me explaning why i signed my name the way i did, on the form- and that this NEW email was my confirmation that it was my signature on the form. By this time i am beyond frustrated. I sent the email requested and called again and waited. Then the front desk person told me they couldn't read the 3 digit number on the card.. i said its an Amex and you use the 4 digit code on the front.
I then asked again why she was unable to give the lady checking in a room 2 hours ago a room to rest and go to bed in while we took care of the incidental authorization business. Her room was prepaid. She needed to sleep. She had my full credit card and drivers license- something i did not like doing’. but did. She was adamant at the start she HAD to have the form and made that the priority ( not customer service ) she again said until she had the paperwork to put in she wouldn't check our employee in. I felt like I was at the DMV. There was no customer service or professional hospitality concerns expressed or shown by the front desk individual. My employee was held hostage in the lobby while I did my best to get the form required done after midnight. My complaint is how my employee was treated while her company worked to get the hotel requirements accomplished..i called for the manager today and was informed he will be in after 3:00pm After all this frustrating effort- the hotel inly put a $20 hold on the Amex….. This was not a good or...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel originally for just a couple of weeks, as we were building a new home and was transitioning to an apartment. But when we got news that our home would be completed earlier we changed our stay to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Wentzville, MO. We none the less the staff went out of their way to accommodate. Ashley a manager helped us out on our rate per night and it really helped us out a lot. The stay was excellent the room was great, although the COVID 19 pandemic caused a bit of issues and there was no breakfast, but the continental served proved to be good. Since I still was working and left at 3:30 am each day the members at the hotel would get me something to eat and coffee every morning. We also originally left our dog with family we found that she needed us just as much as she needed us, I asked and the hotel asked us to bring her in. The staff welcomed Bayle every time they saw her, some trying their best to make her feel great. My son and his girlfriend came to visit from California and the Holiday Inn welcomed and treated them excellent. My wife loved it once the pool opened by appointment, she swam every time she could get signed up. So many names of employees to thank but, for all whom worked while we were there April 29 through July 3rd. Great job I hope that Holiday Inn knows just how special you all are and that you all go above and beyond to be of great service to all staying with you. Special shout out to Morgan I had spoken to her a lot and she was very good to me...
Read moreBooked this hotel as we were traveling across the country. I had to book two rooms since they didn’t have a room available to accommodate me. I took the initiative to email the front desk to be sure that I could have adjourned rooms when we arrived. They said they will do their best but it’s noted. The hotel called the day my stay to remind me of our stay and to be sure we were still coming. That was nice kinda felt like mom calling to see if you coming home for dinner. We did get our rooms as we requested. The staff was so friendly when we arrived and even after our stay. The rooms were not only so clean but extremely large which was great, didn't make you feel like you were in a square box for the night. Also some of the best night sleep there as well. Staying in hotels you don't get the comfy bed or rooms and we are always HOT when we stay in hotels. Not this one, it was nearly perfect. Beds were comfortable, showers were clean, and room temp was perfect. The breakfast is usually the let down, not here, the lady who was doing the set up and upkeep of the breakfast was on her toes and made sure the pancake machine was full and working, coffee was changed out as fast as she could make the pot. Breakfast was hot and yummy. My son left his blanket at the breakfast area and after 30 mins we called, the blanket was still there and they picked it up and held it for us till we drove back to grab it. All our stays will be compared to this set of rooms, as they were...
