Every year my husband gets me a chocolate covered strawberry blizzard cake for my birthday, but this is the first time he got it for me from this location. He ordered me a 10 inch cake with chocolate ice cream only and asked them three times on the phone to make sure they cover the top of the cake with strawberries and then drizzle chocolate over the strawberries. They told him it would be ready on my birthday but then said it wasnât ready because their icecream cake maker called in sick, which is really fine because things like that happen. But then the next day when my husband went to pick it up, it didnât have strawberries on top and was in the shape of a heart and was much shorter/skinner than their traditional ice cream cakes. The worker told him that that is the only shape the cake comes in, which was a lie because heâs get this for me every year and we have never had a problem. My husband tried to be nice and say it was fine, but when he got home with it I was very upset, so he brought it back and tried to explain again what was wrong. The worker apologized to him and was really kind, which is why I am leaving three stars and not one, but all the worker offered to do was put some strawberries around the edges, so they still didnât do as requested originally on the phone (to completely cover the top with strawberries and drizzle with chocolate). If this was my first time getting the cake, I wouldnât be upset because I would think well thatâs just how it is, but it isnât my first time and Iâve had it made correctly in a circular shape with normal thickness and they put all the strawberries on top with chocolate like he requested. Unfortunately, we will not be using this location again because we were lied to about the shape and they wouldnât correct the cake to make it as we ordered it. I feel bad leaving this review because my husband said the worker was extremely nice, but it doesnât change that my cake was not...
Read moreI came to the Wentzville Dairy Queen through the drive through, I was the 9th car in line. Got to the window, I had ordered a kids meal with the wrks! I pulled away from the window and they had forgotten the ice cream drove back around the building to be the 9th or 10th car again. My granddaughter tried to go in with through receipt through no avail!!! I called from my payphone and asked could someone bring it out and for my trouble how about a scoop for me!! In the midst of this I was on the phone with my daughter who is a manager of a Taco Bell. A girl brought the ice cream to us but...no scoop for my trouble!!! Which she informed me that they don't do that and I would have to pay for one scoop of ice cream so I said to her.. well I won't be back to your restaurant again!!! When I got home I called again and ask for the manager of the store. I wanted to explain to her what it is like when we mothers and grandmothers sit-in lines to receive Food for our families and grandchildren. I asked could you please have a policy where every bag of food is double-checked before it leaves that window!!! What it is like we bring our food home to our families with everything that's been going on these past few months and we expect our food to be there you pull everything out of the bag and you have to tell one of the little kids sorry your fries didn't come sorry no ice cream for you sorry they forgot your cheeseburger!! It's horrible!! We don't have time to turn around and drive back to your restaurant because your workers forgot to check the bags!! Maybe you can use my experience as a teaching tool so all that food that leaves the window is all there, you will have many happy mothers,...
Read moreFour adults and two toddlers go in for ice cream around 7:15pm on a Friday night, the place was not crowded at all. We placed our order, was given a number and sat at a table. Within 15 minutes dozens of teenage kids walked in the door. Some were placing their order and others were just standing at the counter talking to the staff members. We waited another 20 minutes for our order. Finally very irritated, walked up to get our money back. The girl said she had to get her manager to give us our money back. Waiting for the manager, I watched the teenage customers taking selfies with the employees, several employees were not working, just laughing and standing with the teenage customers. I counted at least 12 receipts hanging up to be filled. There is no way our order was not filled as we had been there for 35 minutes already and dozens of kids and a couple families had come in after us, and some of the kids had gotten their order already. The Assistant Manager finally came up and said, âIs there a problem here?â He was a teenager himself! I explained that the group of kids hanging at the counter talking to his employees was interfering with other customers getting their order. He grinned at me and said, I canât ask my customers to leave. I told him he could ask them to have a seat and their orders would be brought to their table, and explain his employees have a job to do. He just smirked at me and said no I canât. Seriously!!!! We left and I saw there were 11 cars in the drive through line, I felt sorry for those people. Iâm sure they all didnât expect the place was running on nothing but teenagers who didnât want to be working nor did they care about their customers. Will...
