This place doesn't even deserve that one star, but google requires a star rating. They treat their guests like crap. Just a heads up to anyone who goes to this place, they will charge you more just because you look a certain way. They will also charge you a different rate if you are a local that according to them is "Local Trash". I have heard this said personally.

They will also charge you more if you just walk in to get a room instead of an online reservation. But I wouldn't even bother renting from these people if I were you. They also like to look at someone and judge them by how they look to determine which part of the lot to put them in. So if you look like what they call "Local Trash" or someone who may cause a problem, which could be anyone to them, they will put you in what is probably the most unsafe, or less impressive looking, rooms or area of the lot.

If anything goes wrong in the room(s) you stay in, they will automatically assume that YOU broke it, instead of what probably actually happened. They like to skimp on their maintenance and various important repairs. Many rooms are damaged by water from continuous overflowing toilets and such. They will not listen to your reasoning, explanations, or complaints. They will automatically tell you that YOU are wrong or that YOU broke it and charge you for it. They are about to charge an older gentleman for a sink clearly detaching from the wall. Pipes were clearly bent from it actually falling and not being forced.

Many people who are locals that live out of this place or come often are charged more because the owners consider them trash. The owners have no respect for any of their guests and no respect for women. Oh and the owners like to watch the employees via their video surveillance from THEIR OWN HOME; without warning or consent of course. Which also means, that wherever you see a camera when you stay there, they are staring at you from it. I have seen them degrade employees, especially women, and speak down to them like they own them.

This may be the cheapest place in town, but it does not deserve anyone's business and is not worth paying for. You will be expecting to pay one thing, and leave with paying way more than you were supposed to. There is also at least one complaint with the attorney general involved. This place has gone from a pleasant family owned business, to a rip-off, run down, disrespectful, unappreciative, misogynistic,...

Don't believe any 3-star ratings! Stay away! I was misled into thinking this would be a pleasant place to stay during a near-bye lacrosse tournament for my son. After an odd check in from an uninterested employee I realized I did not even know where the room was located. I drove over a few buildings, walked up steps, and into room. During my trip to the room I noted a lady leaning into a car and it looked like she was selling something that would leave one diseased. The "non-smoking" room looked more like movie set for any scene that needed a disgusting room. It smelled like stale tobacco smoke. I threw both bed spreads into the corner hoping that would move the odor. The carpet was torn in several areas. The decor seemed to be just coats of paint over everything. I immediately gauged my chances for finding another hotel. I waited in the lobby to speak to the woman that checked me in. She remained talking on the phone in language I did not know. When I had the chance to tell her I was unhappy with the room. "It just doesn't meet my needs. I don't like it" I said--then she told me I had only 30 minutes to notify her and it had been over 30 minutes. I said, "well it has actually only been 27 minutes and I had to wait 2-3 minutes while you were on the phone." She would not refund the room. She told me to talk to the owner the next morning. I realized she had been talking to the owner on the phone as I walked in. I asked her to call him back. She spoke in a language I did not know and said I would have to talk to him in the morning. I spent the night in the room without touching anything. I kept everything on the (hopefully clean sheet) on the other bed. When I left the room for dinner I took all my belongings with me). After leaving the room I still tasted the stale cigarette smoke. The next morning the manager smiled and shook my hand and spoke in a circular, BS manner that assured me he cared nothing about customer service and decency. Stay away from this motel! It is disgusting. The staff are the worst people. It boarders on unsafe. And it is loud! It is nothing like the web...

Boston Inn Westminster Maryland 10/10-10/12/2025….

CUSTOMER SERVICE….UNAPOLOGETICALLY HORRIBLE, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL ZERO āļø These photos are not true!! I wish I had taken photos.

Westminster Maryland is my hometown & I love it when I get an opportunity to come home.

Whenever I come home for whatever event I’m invited too, I have always stayed at Boston Inn on RT 140/Baltimore Blvd.

This Inn has always been priced reasonably. This visit however was over $300.00 for 2 nights. WHAT? I was shocked but I know how nice the rooms and amenities are, so okay I made the reservation ahead of time.

Checking in was fine, the normal process.

We got to the room and I was shocked and absolutely disappointed.

The following is a list of things that we found unacceptable and simply appalling:

No ā€œDO NOT DISTURBā€ sign. Even after asking for it. Light in the vanity area has a power light button but does not come on. 1 towel, 1 wash cloth. 1 bath mat for the floor for a 2 night stay. The bath tub was horrible. It appears to have been scraped with something and never repaired or cleaned. I ALWAYS have disinfectant wipes so I cleaned it. I wiped down the entire room. Use my entire container of wipes ! Cell phone charger box wouldn’t stay in outlet. Dirty stained lamp shade Dusty everywhere No Phone No Iron No Iron Board Black Mold on Bathroom ceiling Water sudden became scalding hot Microwave Sounds like it’s about to explode. No clothes hangers and asking for them, we’re told NO! Dirty floors, wood split. Chain for door pulled out, whole not fixed. Opened ½ roll of toilet paper that was obviously used by prior guests. Bed spread was not the correct size for a king size bed. It barely covered the top of the bed. The Front Desk Attendant was very rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional. Vending Area! JOKE! Empty Vending machines, NO ICE! We were shocked! What hotel/motel doesn’t have an ice machine that works? Not this P.O.S place! No safety non-slip pads on the bottom of the bathroom. This will be our last time ever staying at Boston Inn Westminster.

This Inn is not a place I'd want to stay again. However, due to the fairly cheap price ($150 for two nights with King bed) it gets three stars. The room was fairly spacious but everything was very old and worn. It smelled like a retirement home. The bed headboard had extensive chips and flakes off of it giving it a very unappealing look. The bathroom was very old and not updated, there are essentially no counter top spaces to put your things. There is a small cabinet thing that was gross and dirty on the inside. All the furniture was extremely worn and damaged. It looked like everything was taken from a thrift store or antique shop but not in a charming way. The bedsheets were clean at least but the pillows were these tiny old lumpy things that were very difficult to sleep on. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. Finally the walls are paper thin. I could hear other resident's conversations, the cars passing on the nearby road, doors closing and opening, everything. Also on my final night, my wife and I had the pleasure of listening to 3 or 4 people screaming at each other and fighting, cursing, slamming doors, etc..it was unsettling to say the least. Each night here was unpleasant because i woke up probably 20 times due to all these combined factors so it seemed like the night was going on forever, not in a pleasant way. As for the continental breakfast offered..it was bread, two types of bagels, cereal which was stale, juice and extremely watery coffee. Very disappointing. Pictures of everything attached. If you're really in need of a cheap place here, maybe consider Boston Inn, but i wouldn't recommend it.

This place is a dump! Their pictures of the rooms and pool are NOT accurate. We booked an overnight stay on a booking site. We arrived and saw the grounds were covered in high weeds, the pool was empty except for green sludge, and the overall appearance of the lobby area. We were asked if we want a smoking or non- smoking room (?). We got the key and went to the room, only to find wires sticking out of the walls, plumbing pipes exposed from one room to the next, patched white drywall spots on the blue wall, the fabric headboard had sprayed/splashed stains, the mini fridge had no freezer door and the control had been removed. It was generally filthy. There was no way we were staying in that room for the night, but had drinks that needed refrigerating for the time being. We put them in the fridge and went off to find other lodging for the night. We returned several hours later to retrieve our drinks and saw that 3 rooms, to the right of ours, now had "DO NOT ENTER" signs on the doors, and were cordoned off with yellow caution tape. Needless to say, we did not stay, and will be contacting the booking site for a refund.
