I've been coming to your reisterstown and Westminster locations since you opened up. I've been used to a certain standard. Always getting what I paid for. Well the past month, they have been making the portion smaller and smaller. Tonight I got 2 large twists in a cup and a hot fudge sundae. Both twists were large and they were 2 inches below the rim of the cup. The sundae i paid 5 bucks for was only half full and had about a tablespoon of yogurt. 15 bucks total and only half the product as usual. Not happy. Going to dairy queen from now on. See my article about it in the c.c times this sunday......update the owner called me and addressed my concerns and refunded my money. That's good customer service. But, there's still some issues. Like the sundaes are different everytime depending on who serves you and when you point it out to them they give you an attitude. One or two servers are very good. But, the rest need more training to stay uniformed on how much custard you get. I still go there because my family still loves the flavor.plus most of the time service and...
Read moreMy boys and I are visiting my sister who lives in Westminster this week and she wanted to treat her nephews who are 5 and 3 to some ice cream. She is new to the area and wanted to try out The Cow. Obviously with it being the middle of summer, it was a really hot day. The custard was served in small plastic cups which which easily bent. This made for an absolute disaster with melted ice cream. It was everywhere. As my sister and I were trying to clean up the boys who were completely covered in sticky ice cream, our own ice cream was melting all over. My sister went to the window and asked for more cups (to put our own cones in and to catch some of the boys' overflowing melted ice cream). We were told that it was against store policy to give more than one cup. There were also no napkins outside so we had to stand in line covered in ice cream waiting until we could get to the window to ask for more napkins. It was by far the most miserable ice cream experience I have ever had! I would suggest buying sturdier containers or more courteous policies. We will not be...
Read moreThe Cow reminds me of the frozen custard stands of my childhood. They serve frozen custard, which is more thick, rich, and creamy than soft ice cream. Only Vanilla and Chocolate can be swirled together here. However, they will layer any flavors and will happily make suggestions if you are stuck. There are dozens of selections. The Cow also serves frozen ice. If you are in the mood for an especially good smooth ice treat, this is the best way to go. They have all of the traditional flavors from the trucks that cruise the neighborhood ringing bells or music. Double the selection by adding flavors for modern tastes - coconut lime, and blood orange come to mind. Ices and frozen custard may be mixed in a single cup. The topping list is also a broad choice - chocolate, hot fudge, marshmallow cream, chocolate morsels, butterscotch, Oreo cookies, and peanut butter are included. The Cow serves up treats in various forms from in a cup (3 sizes), to a cone, a sundae, or banana split, etc. I hope you have a fun and delicious...
