I wanted to like this hotel, but my family and I had a disappointing and concerning experience.
We booked because of the great photos and reviews. When we arrived, the reception staff were friendly, but the first red flag was at the pool — two spiders, one the size of an adult’s palm. Staff removed them when notified.
Our room (320) was spacious, but the floors were filthy — my kids’ feet turned black after walking barefoot for just a few minutes. The bathrooms had fans that didn’t work, and there were very few outlets.
The next morning, my husband killed another spider near the door. That night, between 11 PM and 2 AM, a group of guests slammed doors and shouted loudly — several people, including us, had to call the front desk.
The worst part came when a family member woke up around 5 AM with a severe allergic reaction and swelling under her arm. When we reported it to the supervisor, we were brushed off and told to “take Benadryl.” No concern, no apology — just dismissal.
We later had to seek medical care, likely costing over $600, plus antibiotics for the infection and fever that followed.
If you have kids or elderly family members, please stay alert and trust your gut. Cleanliness and care were seriously lacking...
Read moreThe hallways are like a frozen tundra and only the lobby is heated. The floors in the rooms are so cold to every time I got up my feet were like ice. No housekeeping ever came. The bathroom is so tiny and took the shower forever to get hot. ||I still wake up having nightmares about this horrible place. Freezing to walk to the ice machine or to leave the hotel. ||It was a redone lobby but the rest of the hotel lacked allot to be desired. What kind of a hotel doesn't heat the hallways? They were also very dark. I also found that the heater in the room would either get really warm to the point that you had to turn it completely off which in the room would get cold or it would take a while to warm up and then it would get really hot. It didn't seem like there was a normal temperature. Even though it's a digital thermostat and I said it at 70 like I do at home it would still get really really hot before it would turn off. A lot warmer than 70°. I definitely will never ever stay at this hotel again. I chose it because it was $65 a night and I thought well it looked nice from the pictures and I just needed a place to sleep. Who knew that it was going to be a horrible experience and that I was gonna freeze...
Read moreWas not aware that housekeeping only comes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and our stay was booked for Thursday through Sunday for a ball tournament. Housekeeping did come Friday, but only one of two beds was made, they were definitely not Queens, but decently comfortable. Pillows were better than average, since I am looking for something nice to say. Towels were not left by housekeeping, so every single day we had to go get towels from the front desk and take our own trash out, which may explain why every trash can in the lobby etc was overflowing every time I walked by. On Sunday the front desk didnt have towels as they were out, so they had to find some for us. Both luggage carts had flat, blown out tires, which I didnt find out till I had my luggage on them. Friday night a huge party in the banquet hall broker out, and roughly 20 police cars were there. Guests could not drive their vehicles in our out, you had to park on the street or across the street and walk. Didn't have much options as most hotels were booked, next time I'll Air BNB or drive when put in...
