Scotsman Inn West — Hotel in Wichita

I’m not sure how this even got three stars. It was filthy and disgusting for the 5 minutes I even stayed there. As soon as you walk in it smells strongly of cigarette smoke. The carpet in the hallway was so dirty it was black. We walked in the room and we were hit with an overpowering smell of mildew from the air conditioner that my brother in law had turned on for us a few hours earlier. I have severe allergies and our 3 month old baby , that was premature, has respiratory issues as well. If we stayed there any longer she would have been in the ER. My brother in law had gotten the room for us there because it was very late. We were coming from Kanas City Missouri on short notice because their grandmother’s health is rapidly declining. All we wanted was a refund. Nathan had talked to the manager who denied a refund the next day. The manager stated it’s because the room was booked for a couple hours already. With the looks of the illicit activity that goes on in the place I’m sure they get asked for refunds all the time after a few hours. The only reason we stayed there was it was late at night and needed sleep. Room was dirty and it does smell. No trash can in room and we could not turn off the TV and had to unplug it. One set of towel in the room and they looked like the dingy and never bleached. Air conditioner falling apart and could not adjust temperature. Beds were hard and if you moved they squeaked. Dirt around head of bed on floor. There was a hole in the door that you can see into the room or the hallway at eye level and a peep hole about waist high. Could see the inside of room from outside. We covered with bandaids. Could not see any bugs around do to fact they were scared to be there. There was broken alcohol bottles that were broken all over so called ramp. The out side was very dirty and no upkeep. After we checked in and got into the room some of the( (permanent) residents started to come in and we started to worry about our car getting broke into. Me and my husband stayed here for almost three months.paid our rent on time every week.we were treated rudely.we had broken beds,cable problems,pungent smell of Marijuana on all three floors,sink kept backing up,we were originally placed on the first floor in a non smoking room when I told them I smoked.they stole a 40 dollar security deposit from us for their mistake.we were moved to third floor which is supposed to be a smoking floor and they stole another 20 dollar security deposit.we moved rooms three timed due to broken beds.then we were evicted for complaining.drug users smoking meth in halls,drug traffic,rude staff, no housekeeping for three months,two people reportedly found dead from fentanyl overdoses,washer and dryer caught fire and have not been repaired in a month.DO NOT...
