Candlewood Suites is one of the best Hotels Ive stayed since being here Wichita. Their accommodations are excellent... the room is cozy, with the most comfortable bed ever, did wonders for my back! The kitchenette was well stocked with the needed utensils, pans, plates and cups. There was a coffee maker, toaster, and option to get a blender. Now thats thinking! The bathroom was dreamy...if I must say...the shower was soothing with adjustable showerhead, shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash were already in the shower those products were top quality and made for all skin types. The towels were big, fluffy, and nicely woven. Of course there was a blow dryer, lotion, facial cleanser. As far as ammenities well the workout room was to die for nothing like waking up and getting a Cardio workout to exlirate the start of a new day. The laundry room was much needed (laundry bags and ironing board and iron are in the room) the washer was an excellent size for a decent full load, and the dryers worked well not a stitch of my clothing was wet or even damp after a full cycle on the dyer. Now this was truly a treat The Cupboard was a little store setup where you could (on a trust level) purchase hyigene items and food that could be cooked in your room. The variety was good both breakfast and dinner items were available...just sign a sheet of paper provided and drop in slit and the charges go straight to your room. So the trust and peacefulness of being able to browse thru items without having to feel invaded or bothered by a sales person they give you the time and privacy to shop with trust you fill the paper of items you choose to purchase. Furthermore, there is newspapers in the foyer and the staff are polite, respectful, and not to mention helpful!! Way to go Candlewood Suites!!!😃 You...

I recently stayed at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Wichita, Kansas, by the airport, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. This hotel seems more suited for transient stays, which became apparent upon arrival.
The hotel has a very small foyer area with just two chairs and a table, and there is no real lobby to speak of. After entering, you have to make a left through a door to reach the front counter. The lack of ambiance and a proper lobby area was an early indication of what was to come.
On the second floor, where my room was located, the hallway had an overpowering smell of curry that persisted throughout my four-day stay. While I initially assumed it was due to someone cooking in their room, the smell never dissipated.
Upon entering my room, I was immediately hit with a terrible odor, a mix of cigarette smoke and wet dog. This unpleasant smell made the room very uncomfortable. Additionally, the window shade only provided a view of the parking lot, and there were no lightweight sheer curtains to ensure privacy while allowing light into the room.
I did have concerned about the safety of my belongings, and even though I took all my valuables with me every day no one entered my room. There was no cleaning/maid service during my stay. The bathroom was clean, the amenities were dated, though still in okay condition.
Overall, my stay at Sonesta Simply Suites was far from satisfactory because of the lack of proper amenities and the unpleasant odors made for a disappointing stay. Yet I found the workers very friendly...
Read moreNOT SAFE. DEADLY SPIDER INFESTATION: I arrived in Wichita for a training and checked into Sonesta Simply Suites - Wichita Airport. The next night - Sep 23, I was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider in their room (#223) . The next morning my elbow was swollen to the size of my thighs, excruciating pain and high fever , I am a foreign national and travelling alone, I spent that night with a high fever of 102 degrees and dint know if I would wake up the next morning . Had to visit 2 ERs to get the proper medication and a bill of $600 dollars for the ER. I thought it was a one off case and decided to move to a different room #320, to my surprise I found another deadly Brown Recluse Spider waiting in the bathtub. Believe me , a bite from one of these is more painful than a bite from a Pitbull, the bite area is not healing and the affected area is getting bigger by the day. This time I captured the entire scenario on my mobile phone. After three days, I am not able to move my elbow well and have a sharp pain in the elbow as if I am being hit by a baseball bat plus the bouts of high fever in the night. The fang marks of the spider , the live spider I caught in their premises and my disfigured elbow are all shared in the video and photos. I do not want any other guest to be bitten by these deadly spiders . None of the Sonesta authorities have tried to consult me, their mail Boxes are rejecting my email. They don’t care about their reputation or this review on google. Made sure none of my office employees will ever visit this hotel. Preparing for a...
