I like to shop local, so I went into the store to inquire about a phone for my disabled son. The salesperson, Alex, helped me determine the best phone for him, then informed me that she could help me to lower my monthly bill by adding two lines instead of just one. She made a big production about what I was paying and how she could lower the bill. We made an appointment to take care of the new service.
At this appointment, we were charged almost $600 in set up fees and "discounted" accessories, as well as given a "free" ipad. Never were we told how much any of this would cost. It was too late at the end as most of the accessories were added onto the phones/ipad. The next month, our bill was almost $200 more than our regular bill. And our new and improved permanent bill is almost $60 more per month.
I called several times to get help with this using the number given to me by Alex, the salesperson. My calls were never returned. I called the number on the bill for the Wickenburg store, and it was answered by an outside agency who told me they would give the store a message. I never received a call back. When I finally got into the store to return some of the accessories , it was past the 30 day return date (written in small print but never discussed). The manager refused to help, even though his employee had flat out lied to us about our bill and never disclosed any of the costs of the accessories. Prices are not listed on the items or displayed in the store. You don't know the cost until they ring it up. The two items I tried to return were two wall chargers, which you need in order to plug in the cord. The cord is included but not the plugs, an incomplete product. He refused to help even after being told of the situation. And these plugs cost $37 each, even though you can find a similar product on Amazon for about 1/4 the cost. Every accessory sold in the store can be found for 1/3 to 1/4 the cost on a different retailer.
So, the moral of the story-DO NOT go to the store in Wickenburg. The service is terrible, the employees lie, the cost of the accessories is incredibly inflated and the manager is completely unhelpful. I haven't been this disappointed or angry about a...
Read moreA year ago, I was looking into a smartphone for the first time. I stopped into this store to look around to see what kind of pricing was available for them at the time, and asked to see the least expensive smartphone. the staff member would not listen and kept redirecting me to phones I couldn't afford. the next time I went in, Jason was very helpful and offered great customer service. however, I bought the coverage for tempered glass replacement and asked a corporate associate if it was possible to get a refund: they said yes. I went to the store in Wickenburg and they said no. it was an 80 dollar investment, and I returned within the time stated on the return policy. I left 3 messages for the owner and he never called me back.
a year later, when the tempered glass broke and I wanted to cash in on the "unlimited" replacement plan that I paid for, the sales associate asked for information I hadn't needed to give before with another sales associate. also, she could not find my name on the account, so she said she'd need to see the person listed (I'm on a family plan and not the head of the account); this was previously not a problem.
I was frustrated thinking back to how I had unreturned calls the year before from managent when the salesperson said she would have the manager call me back, so I said I didn't think he would; her response was, "That was a year ago."
I never got a call that day, so returned at a time when I knew the manager was there. he offered to install the new tempered glass for me, but I said I could do it. some of the pieces I needed to clean my glass were not given to me even though I asked if I had all I needed from the packaging.
I had young kids with me and was flustered over the experience so I left instead of making a scene and recounting my experience with him. I wish I would have said something to him, but after talking to other friends who've had similarly disappointing experiences at this store, think I'll be going to Surprise at another gowireless location, who slickly got the info I needed over the phone, whereas the associate in store at Wickenburg failed to do so and did not take the time to...
Read moreI just received exemplary service at the Wickenburg Verizon store from an employee named Dom. I have been unable to use my hands-free phone for a month since Verizon did a reset to correct some funky phone actions. I have had other Verizon employees try to fix it as well as the Ford dealership with no luck. Dom was extremely polite even asking permission to enter my car and use my phone. He tried to do everything others have done with no success and finally worked it backwards to get the car to recognize the phone instead of vice versa. Others have just given up and told me to go to the car dealership or back to Verizon but he's stuck with it until I finally have my hands-free working again. Verizon should be very proud to have an employee of this high-caliber and I hope this young man goes far in his career....
