Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Willmar, MN — Hotel in Willmar

The outside of the hotel is very nice. The housecleaning situation was bad. No one came to clean our garbage in our room for 7 days. We did not even get a new bar of soap or anything. We put our towels out in the hall for pick up and they were not replaced that night. We asked at the desk the next morning the girl said she forgot what room she took the towels from so we did not get any that night. The bedside lamp next to the washroom was loaded with cob webs inside around the top. That was nasty. The eating area where the food it was great. The lady that works there was very nice and accommodating. Everything was very clean and she put fresh food out all the time, We loved that. We understood that there was a housecleaning situation and if we wanted sheets changed or towels changed to ask which was not a problem. But garbage pick up was not acceptable. We were never there in the day time as we were visiting friends that live on 6th Street so your place was convenient for us. That was the reason for...

I have been staying at Carlson brand hotels for my entire life, and after the nonsense I went through today I don't know that I ever will again. I made a reservation for 2 rooms and realizing I made a mistake I called to fix it (switching a king room to a double bed), the hotel said there was nothing they could do since I used Carlson points, so they gave me a number to call Club Carlson, I called them, they wanted to charge me to 80 dollars more a night to switch room, I said to cancel the reservation (which I had made 15 minutes prior) they said it was after the cancellation deadline, transferred me to customer service, they reiterated all the same things, called the hotel, and after 20 minutes got my reservation canceled... The whole thing was just a nightmare. The standards for Carlson Hotels have certainly fallen since I worked for them. I cannot believe this. Horrible...

This hotel is nice but last night me and my mom went to go get things from our car at 12am and we had our new key cards and they worked but when we went to go back inside the door would not open both working key cards we tried to call my dad but he is a deep sleeper and did not see our calles. And when l went to go to the front where the sliding doors it said not opened so went back and our last option was to sleep in the car but we could not sleep so we went in to the front one more time and to our luck there was a old man that came to the rescue and God bless his old heart he let us in and gave up new working cards and I'm 11 years old and I'm traumatised bc l have heard and seen videos of people getting shot in there car so l was scared but every thing else was perfect but that back door scanner need and l mean NEEDS...
