When we checked in around 7pm on 8/25/16 there was no water for the entire hotel due to a Jacuzzi tub malfunction on the 4th floor. We had been flying all day and now we find out we can't shower or even flush the toilet. Our tub didn't drain when we showered, usually took 10-20 minutes after showering for it to drain. The phone in our room was working properly, you couldn't hear the other party from the headset, it had to be put on speaker phone. Had it not been for the fact that we were there with a wedding group, we would have left the hotel. The rate is very overpriced for the service/room quality we received. The pancake machine did not work while we were there. Upon checking out, we were told we would not be receiving a discount on the rate which I requested because of the "no water" issue. I was told I could be awarded points, which don't do me any good as I am not a member. The manager said "it wasn't off for that long so we're not giving anyone discounts." I advised her it was not on by the time when myself, my husband, and my 11 yr. old daughter went to bed so were unable to use our bathroom or brush teeth, not to mention shower. The other gal at the desk then said the water came back on but was after 10pm so she did not call to let us know, which was good because we were sleeping. She eventually took $20 off of my room rate for that night and then started complaining about how much money the hotel was losing because they could not rent that room or the room below it. Not the customers problem if I recall. I was an AGM for 5 years, any inconvenience to a guest is always recognized, not "justified" by an excuse "the water wasn't off for that long". It was off when...
Read morePoor Customer Service, Manager is dishonest. We had a terrible experience at the Best Western in Wilsonville. My son’s wedding was nearby, and reservations were made for the bride’s elderly grandmother and aunt. I called the day before to confirm and even added a night, with a new reservation number provided, due to the original reservation being under another family members name who was ill and could not attend. The reservation was changed to the aunt by the family member and given new contact information. When we arrived after their 27-hour train ride and a long drive in bad traffic from Seattle, we were told the reservation was cancelled at 3 p.m. because a card declined, we arrived at 4:15pm stood in line until 4:30pm to find out this news. We contacted the original family who had booked the hotel, and they stated they had no pending charges on their card. No one called or left a voicemail, and no email was received. The manager admitted she cancelled it and showed no sympathy and said she called and emailed both the original booker and the aunt who was in the card with me the whole trip, even as the grandmother sat in 105-degree heat before the rehearsal dinner. We had to scramble for a hotel 10 miles away, adding stress to an already busy wedding weekend. I have always trusted and recommended Best Western, but this was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. I honestly think the manager lied about trying to confirm the card or reach out to us. We were traveling on I-5 and had Verizon so cell reception was available and we...
Read moreComplaint about Wilsonville OR stay 12/14-15. Sent message indicating checkin after 5pm. After long day of traveling arrived, checked in about 8pm. Woman working at desk gave keycard and wife and I went to room 305.
Sat down on bed to take off my shoes, and fell right off the bed. The King mattress sits on 2 single bases. One was clearly broken and slanting towards wall.
Called Front desk, advised of broken bed, said she could put us in another room, but I had to come down and get the new key card. No apology.
Got to elevator and she comes out. Said she wanted to check out he room, I thought she meant the new room to ensure there was no issues with that one. Nope. She wanted to see the bed in 305, like she didn't believe me.
I said, you can clearly see the base is broken because it's slanting away below the mattress. Not sure how housekeeping missed that...it was pretty obvious especially when they made the bed up.
She didn't ask if I was injured, no apology, just said she'd bring it to someone's attention.
New room 307 had no broken bed, but shower rod which is curved was broken so bent downward in U shape. Shower curtain wouldn't stay closed because it kept sinking to the middle of the U. Needless to say water got all over the floor and the wall. Watermarks on the wall indicated this wasn't something new. Too tired to do anything, and with the sympathy the desk woman showed, didn't think it'd matter anyway.
I did advised the man on Sunday morning at checkout, and he said he'd...
