Some details of this restaurant are ready for an upgrade/remodel. We only came for the skillet-cooked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and it did not disappoint! It's their best dessert and at $7.99 it's also their cheapest, and enough for two.
Other meals from Ruby Tuesday can sometimes be disappointing. I've had tilapia that was fishy, deconstructed steak kabobs where the steak was WAY overcooked, and neither their regular hamburgers nor their new smashed burgers are particularly good - Steak n Shake burgers are superior and far cheaper.
(Addition to original review: I once had the deconstructed kabobs with shrimp, and the shrimp WERE NOT PEELED! WHAT?!!! They were cut along the back side so that if you grabbed their little feet and pulled on them then the shell did MOSTLY come off, but it was VERY MESSY because of the seasoning. These shrimp should be peeled before cooking when included in a mixed dish like that.)
None of their food is prepared on site. It is all either frozen or pre-portioned in refrigerated plastic bags, then heated in various ways at the restaurant. Some of their meals are still ok, though, and sometimes a good value.
Surprisingly, the pasta is usually perfectly cooked al dente‘, which likely is attributed to proper preparation at the distributor, and then it is likely boiled in a plastic bag at the restaurant, thereby retaining its perfect texture.
(Another addition to original review: the salad bar is quite good, however a few of my wife and my favorites have been eliminated since even before the pandemic. I do not remember what those items were but it was a disappointment when they were taken off. On a positive note they have some very, very good flavored iced teas that are more than just syrup added, and while they cost a bit more than other beverages they do include...

From the very first day, the management team — Edgar, Colby, Ruben, and Tonya — made a lasting impression by going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Ms. Tonya was the first manager we met, and we thought she set the bar impossibly high… but to our surprise, her entire team matches her excellence every time.
🌟 Front of House & Bar
The service at the bar is always top-notch — clean, attentive, and professional. Jeremiah was the first bartender we met, and his service was unmatched. We thought no one could top that level of care, but Josh and KJ have continued to deliver the same outstanding quality every time.
🌟 Servers
The servers are equally impressive. Margaret was the first server to help us, and she patiently walked us through the pros and cons of the 30-Day Garden Bar Pass, which made using it a breeze. I thought her service couldn’t be matched, but Donna, DJ, Angela, and Linsey have all been equally phenomenal. Everyone is friendly, efficient, and truly cares about making sure we have a great experience.
🌟 Kitchen & Food Quality
A huge shoutout to Joel, Cedric, and the kitchen team for consistently delivering delicious, beautifully presented, and fresh food. The cleanliness of the kitchen and the freshness of the salad bar are worth noting — you can really see the pride they take in their work. Whoever keeps that salad bar stocked, clean, and inviting deserves special recognition too!
⸻
We are truly grateful to have Ruby Tuesday as our daily dining option. The management, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff all work together seamlessly to create an exceptional experience every time we visit. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

Read moreVisited Ruby Tuesday yesterday with a group of ten for an early dinner. As usual, I enjoyed the food—Ruby Tuesday’s rarely disappoints.
I almost always opt for the salad bar, and this time was no different. It was fresh and flavorful, though I would have liked to see more fresh fruit options available. Still, everything I tried was delicious. I paired it with the potato soup, which was quite good.
There was a bit of a hiccup when we first arrived. The staff initially seated nine of us at a table meant for eight, and when a tenth guest unexpectedly joined, things got tight—two people were awkwardly sitting on corners. It took a little time and effort, but we were eventually able to add another table and settle in comfortably. The staff wasn’t especially quick to adapt, but we got there in the end.
Several people in our group ordered appetizers, including the fried mushrooms, which I sampled and found very tasty. A couple of folks made a meal of their appetizers and were satisfied with their choices. Others ordered burgers, which got good reviews, and two people had fish, which they both said was excellent.
The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and the staff was friendly throughout. That said, service was a bit slow—possibly due to the size of our party.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience and...
