I came here for Valentine’s Day and I was super excited to try this place as it was my first time. Everything was going great at first since we were able to get seated right away despite how busy it was. First of all, I was excited to have a few drinks and try some amazing seafood. So, red flag one was the waitress came over to take our order and my date and I had very different orders and modifications and she didn’t write anything down. Again, I don’t like to complain but when there are a variety of menu items, seasonings, and spice levels, you’d think they’d want to jot the order details down. This became a problem when she came back to the table 10 minutes later asking what drink I said I wanted again of seafood I wanted in my boil… I ordered one of their signature frozen margaritas and it literally tasted like an amateur pina coloda. And for the price, it was pretty small and not even worth a picture. We waited over an hour for the food to come which was understandable since it was Valentine’s Day and super packed. After an hour and 10 minutes waiting for our seafood boils to come out, I decided to ask the waitress if she could please check on our food. The drinks were so underwhelming so it made the wait for the food feel that much longer. The waitress came back a few minutes later with our food which we were super happy about. The night wouldn’t have been a total bust if the food was on point. I got the lobster tail and scallops with the everything seasoning blend they offer and requested it to be spicy. So the food was definitely flavorful but I guess I wasn’t super wow’d after all the hype this place and other seafood boil restaurants get. The seasoning was delicious but it was not spicy at all. I usually would send my food back but we had already waited over an hour for the food in front of us and we had other plans after dinner and I didn’t want to be held up waiting on the food to cook for a second time. I also requested no corn in my boil and potatoes only but I still received corn (chef ignored “no corn” on order because it was printed on the order ticket attached to my seafood boil). Thank goodness I’m not allergic to corn. The last thing I have to say is I LOVE scallops and when I saw how big they were when I opened my seafood boil, I was soooo excited to give them a taste!! However, they did not taste like regular scallops Ive had in the past.. Even though I’ve never tried imitation scallops, they tasted just like that. Overall, the experience was VERY underwhelming. The drinks sucked for me and my date.. Oh and they also looked NOTHING like the pictures on their drink menu. Overall, I’m just happy I didn’t have to pay for this meal because I would have been even more disappointed. I...
Read moreLast weekend was a combination of things for our family. We had a birthday and Valentine’s Day and we chose on that Friday to have Valentines Day dinner because Monday was a work day. My woman loves seafood and pasta so we chose this place. Big Mistake! Before I start I just want to point out we never leave reviews but this is an exception.
I had the Crawfish Boil and added scallops , broccoli and it came with corn and potatoes. Initially it smelled great because of the seasoning inside the bag with the water they mixed it with. The crawfish was just boiled and no prep work was done to get rid of the fishy taste. The crawfish meat was really hard and the seasoning couldn’t help it. The scallops had zero flavor to them other than the seasoning(which our 15 year old kid could do). The broccoli was so over cooked it was just sitting in the seasoning all mushy. All of us tried it and all agreed it was disgusting. Then my woman had the Pasta Seafood marinara and the mussels were cold along with the shrimp. None of the pasta was tossed to blend the flavors and again seafood with no flavor other than the fishy taste. Our son had chicken and we all wanted to eat that because he liked his dish and we were jealous. Our friend we invited had the Lobster Bisque and she liked that. We had two appetizers as well Hush puppies and Crab Bites. Again the crab bites were very fishy and it was obvious on the seafood side of things zero preparation had been done to tender the seafood and season it on its own. We eat sea food all the time and we understand some foods can be fishy but to have all your food including scallops taste this way was just too much. Couldn’t eat the corn or potatoes in the bag because everything had the same flavor and nothing stood out. It all tasted like fish. After tip and bill we dropped close to 200$. Nothing was cooked properly as if they had new cooks that didn’t understand sea food. Because we don’t ever want to complain our waitress came by and we just asked for the check. We had a nice waitress but the fact that she picked up fully loaded plates and didn’t realize something was wrong became odd. She asked if we wanted to go boxes and all of us at the same time said noooo. We laughed a little and left. Complete waters of money and not worth the value at all. Sorry for bad review but if employees don’t care what they cook and waitresses don’t care what they serve then I felt it was necessary...
Read moreI'm going to start by saying if you like a good drink this is not the place! This was first visit and it was with a party of 7 for my friend birthday. 4 of us wanted" The all you can eat" 3 didn't, so we had to go to the another table because of that. When we arrived it was approximately 7:30 by the time we moved tables and ordered it was about 8:30 the food came about 8:45. Now the All you can eat was a large amount of food namely because they overloaded it with noodles. At 9:00 we was then told the kitchen was about to close so I ordered more crab legs ( per the reason I even wanted the all you can eat.) This is when the night took a turn for the worst! Like literally the worst dining experience ever. So our issue was, why would the waitress not inform us that the kitchen would close 20 min after we ordered this "All you can eat" not only that, we could not take the food we did order home unless we paid an additional 15.00. Now by this time we express to the waitress our issue with the service so she stops servicing us and the police is called which we are in full agreement of because they had not even followed there 90 min sit time rule for this "All you can eat". The police came we told our side they told there side. The police made us pay and we were able to take the food home we purchased without giving the extra 15.00. To sum up everything I'm giving them 1 star because the food did taste ok. The food wasnt hot the potatoes wasn't cooked through and the crazy amount of noodles sucked up the sauce. My meal was $70.00. The non alcohol drink being 10.00 the 45.00 meal and 18% gratuity (paid separately by each individual) It was not worth but only because of the service. The attitude of the waitress was poor and I would advice anyone don't do the "All you can eat" in the evening save that for lunch because it becomes unfair. Unfortunately my first visit was unpleasant. I don't like to give unfair reviews so I'm always honest because I'm in the service industry and I believe in great service and fairness. I would never want to tear down someone else's business. This was my experience so a bad taste was left...
