This place has BED BUGS and customer service by the General Manager was completely atrocious!!! I booked this hotel for 4 days to visit family and friends in the area, my 11 yr old sister stayed with me the first night and got bitten all over her legs and fingers, but she didn´t tell me until she heard me talking to the manager two days later because she wasn´t sure if they were bed bugs. On the second day, I woke up to small bites on my fingers but didn´t think much of it because neither of us have never been bitten by bed bugs. On the third night, I woke up in the middle night with an overwhelming itch on my leg and when I reached down, I felt it. I right away got up and turned on the lights and saw them!! I woke up my husband and search the bed and found another one crawling on the bed near the head area. This happened around 1 a.m. and immediately notified the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, I was told that I had to wait until the next day when she gets in and there was nothing further that they can do. My husband and I ended up booking another hotel right away and immediately left. To make this experience even worse, when my husband and I spoke with the General Manager (GM), she was very defensive and even suggested that we probably brought these bugs ourselves and asked us to show her proof that they were bed bugs, we were utterly shocked by her statements and made us feel as though we brought this to ourselves. I told Candace (aka Candy), the GM, that my bites and blood stain left by the bugs when I killed them on the bed should be more than enough proof and if she wanted to see the bugs, that they were in the garbage bin with the kleenex that I killed them with. Later that day Candace F. called me saying that they had a pest control person come to check the room and THEY CONFIRMED BED BUGS in the room, and for this reason, they would ONLY refund 1 night out of the 4 nights. This whole trip was completely awful and disappointing to say the least. I travel frequently for work, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever encountered. I shared this experienced with my family and friends in the Chicagoland area to make sure this hotel is not recommended to...
Read moreThis place is horrible let's start out with when you first walk into the hotel it is dirty the hallways the carpet OMG the worst I have ever seen at any Baymont hotel I have ever stayed in. So I stayed there on a Friday night got to my room took a little relaxation two and a half maybe 3 hours then I had a asthma attack so I plugged up my breathing machine so I could take a treatment meanwhile as I'm sitting in a chair with the window open getting some air I know there's a guy in the back parking lot looking at my window I closed my curtain 15 minutes later and knock at the door this guy is telling me he seen me smoking cigarettes and there will be a $150 charge which had been swept off of my card before I had even had an knock at the door so Monday which is today I called ask for the manager a lady named Cindy which I called at 9 a.m. never got my car back until 1:30 p.m. and she was very very rude her attitude was worse than the carpet in their hallways dirty slimy and stinky I would never suggest anyone stay at this establishment so-called establishment ever because if you ever stay there and have an asthma attack you will be robbed of $150 so they can take a percentage of it it's a shame what type of world we live in when the hotel manager and maintenance man are together so they can split 75 bucks a piece I think they need to hire more...
Read moreIt was not a good choice. The hotel has not been maintained well. The carpets in the hallways were filthy and smelly. The room is on the small side with obvious wear and tear throughout. The TV was small and there were two small drawers for clothing plus two smaller drawers in the nightstands. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and well worn. The shower has a fixed glass side that has the shower head. It is a nice size with tile but the shower head is on that side, which means you have to get into the shower to turn on the water and freeze or roast, to bathe. There was never anyone at the front desk unless they were checking in a guest. Finally, my last night of five, I was woken at almost midnight to knocking on my door. It was a man. I thought he wanted another room, so I didn't answer. He knocked a second time (I had been sleeping since 8:30pm) and asked if I had been smoking in the room! I have never smoked.. I told him that and he asked if I had been burning a candle. I told him I had been sleeping!!!! It was weird and in the middle of the night!! I listened to see if I heard more knocks, which I did not. I travel alone, except for my dog, so the whole episode was terrifying for a single woman. I do not recommend this...
