I had a wonderful stay at Jolia hotel. My room was spacious and clean (it was cleaned daily). Any questions/ concerns I had were attended to immediately.
The location is perfect, it’s a 5 minute walk from Mykhe beach. The WiFi can be spotty at times so if you work online, there’s a workspace 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. It’s next door to the Hookah Lounge. There are tons of delicious restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies, dentists, gyms and nail shops (I highly recommend Lalla nails) within walking distance of the hotel.
The best part of my stay was interacting with the receptionists. Daisy, Mia & Duyen. They are the most welcoming, cheerful and helpful women ever. They made my experience 10 times better. They were so helpful when my suitcase broke, they called someone to fix it curtesy of the hotel and when my flight was cancelled and I couldn’t make international calls they let me use their phone to sort it out. If I wanted to buy anything that I couldn’t find in store, they offered to buy it on Shopee for me so it can be delivered directly to the hotel.
During international women’s day they surprised me with flowers. They’re the sweetest and most thoughtful people ever and I’ll miss them dearly. They are a huge asset to this hotel and when I’m back in Da Nang, I’ll be coming back here because of them.
Thank you ladies for all your care and assistance during my stay.
Overall, I recommend this hotel.
My only con would be the occasionally slow WiFi & I wish they had exercise mats to workout on. However, that’s a quick fix, if you need it you can ask the ladies to order...
Read moreDa Nang is crowded hotel market with lots to choose from, so wading through all the options I found the Jolia Hotel. Location wise, the hotel is only a few blocks from the beach and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is probably 3 stars at best, but the rooms were clean and quite large. My room also had ocean glimpses. There was a nearby construction site though that disturbed any chance of a lie in. The room I got though didn’t seem to entirely match the reservation made through booking.com, as it was described as a suite. Not sure if every room is described as a suite, but my room certainly didn’t have a separate bedroom and living area, which is what I understand a suite to be. Also no cable TV as advertised, with only local Vietnamese channels available. Apparently breakfast was offered at the hotel, but I never understood where to go or how to have it. There was a small rooftop pool that was accessed via a steep staircase. The hotel entrance is also up quite a few stairs as well, something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage . The stand out for me were the staff, friendly and helpful with reasonable English language skills. All in all for the price paid I can’t complain. I probably wouldn’t return given how many other choices are available, but if you want a budget option near the beach, this could be a...
Read moreWhat makes this place special are the staff, such as Lin, Andrew, and the housekeeper, who go above and beyond to deliver a great experience. The location is great, tucked away from the hustle but close enough for a 5 minute walk to the beach.
With that said, I think the facility is lacking even for a 3 star hotel. I can understand that these cost-cutting measures are a result of COVID and low occupancy. However, too much can negatively impact the customer experience. For example, there are times when I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for the elevator because only one of the two is operational. And there are other upgrades that I think are much needed, like the TV unit. A smart TV that offers streaming services like Youtube or Netflix would add tremendous value to the stay. Because watching frozen and choppy clips from the antenna signal is really frustrating. Lastly, others have mentioned the gym. And I agree that it is lacking...2-3 weights and a broken cycling machine can’t exactly be called a gym.
Jolia has a lot of potential. It already has the most essential ingredient in hospitality, which is great staff who care. I hope that management will take this feedback constructively and deliver a...
