🍽️ Food I had matcha, my husband had orange espresso. Both drinks were okay. Personally I think it’d taste much better if the bartender used more matcha powder.
The food was 3/5 for us. We ordered egg benedict & steak, with bacon as extra topping. The egg was cooked nicely. The beef + onion combination can never go wrong (like Japanese sukiyaki beef with rice). But unfortunately that wasn’t the case 😅. The issue was with the choice of meat and extra spice that the chef added. The bacon was also not up to standard.
The food portion was good. One dish was enough for 2 of us to share.
🛋️ Atmosphere 2nd floor is very work-friendly. Everyone was quiet and respectful to others space. No loud music, no loud conversations. It’s like an unwritten rule that was understood among all customers sitting indoors. My husband and I appreciate it very much.
🧑💼 Service The staffs are kind and friendly. Every table is served with a bottle of water. Food and drinks were served quickly.
The environment and service make us want to revisit again. We will try other dishes next time.
UPDATE: We went back the next day, tried different food + drinks. I’m happy with my strawberry matcha. I still have the same comment on the matcha powder as above, but overall...
Read moreThe ambience is really nice, especially in the afternoon. The staff even opened the door for me, which was a great touch of service. The menu is clear and easy to understand, with English translations and pictures for visual help—making it simple enough that even kids can pick out what they want.
Seating is well thought out, with options for solo diners, couples, and groups. They also serve complimentary water, which isn’t so common here in Vietnam based on my observation, so that was a pleasant surprise.
My coffee came not long after ordering—I got the salted coffee, and it was amazing. I could honestly drink it all day (though probably at the risk of some stomach acid) because I liked it that much. Afterwards, I had the Shakshuka, which is one of my favorite breakfasts. I was expecting a lot from it, but it ended up being a little disappointing. It wasn’t bad, but it could definitely use more flavor and a bit more kick. Probably my least favorite Shakshuka so far, but still enjoyable.
The overall vibe is relaxing, with a cozy Sunday morning feel. The staff are friendly, and the service is good. All in all, it was a nice experience, and I’d definitely come...
Read moreEggs Benedict 2 Stars. Was close to being the best I've had in 4 months of Thailand and Vietnam. Most places don't know how to make Hollandaise sauce properly, this hollandaise was perfect. Egg was cooked perfectly, The huge problem is the Bacon is too stringy so you just have giant globs of unchewable meat in your mouth. Its impossible to eat it unless you take a giant chug of water and try to swallow it whole, the fat is too much but its weird fat that you can't chew. This is coming from someone who eats tons of bacon and I normally order it undecooked. The bacon quality is just bad. You need to either get better bacon, cook the meat longer to render more of the fat, or use good ham instead of bacon. I eat tons of Eggs Benedict, this was close to being great, but the magnitude of the problem with the meat quality is an epic fail. I spent the whole time trying to chew meat and then had to spit all of it out. Eating food shouldn't take this much effort and be this frustrating and unpleasureable.
The Iced Coconut Latte was my favorite coffee in two weeks of being in Da Nang. Its just made properly, its a quality latte, and has...
