My wife and I decided to stay in the Son Tra district Da Nang for 4-5 weeks, we originally planned to rent an apartment but not much luck in our quest, so after a little research and ignoring all the so called bad reviews we settled for La Maison, and we were not at all disappointed. Turned out to be hugely cheaper than renting an apartment.||Just a few minutes walk straight up the road to the stunning beach.|| The girls on reception were so helpful, there was no hard sell of tours or anything like that, nothing was too much bother for them, they were so respectful, it made us feel like we were their Mum and Dad. Really lovely people.||The room we were in was spotless, a nice powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Daily house keeping, again by a couple of very happy young ladies who would bring us bottled water and fresh towels every day. ||After reading the reviews about bugs and hard beds, we didn't have a problem with that, our bed was slightly hard but this is good for your back and we both slept really well.||The bugs, well no problem, maybe if it happens again the owner should replace all the drain covers in the bathrooms for a smaller grill, this would instantly cure the problem.||There was no food on when we booked, but we didn't mind that at all, there was no rush to get up in the morning, and there were plenty of places within a few minutes walk where we could get breakfast if we wanted it, this suited us really well. Perfect.||Sometimes we would come back late, there was no hassle getting in, we were left to our own devices coming and going as we please.||The work next door is now completed and a Korean restaurant has now opened so no building work noise.||All in all, La Maison is a really nice place to stay, small hotels like this seriously need to be supported, there aren't that many around within close proximity to the beach, and the staff makes your stay a happy stay, rather than just being a number in the big tower hotels,(which my wife and i try to avoid like the plague), La Maison is a little gem amongst the giants, with personal one to one attention.||I have no issues at all in leaving 5** apart from the fact i would give it 6* if i could.||We will return next year and stay again in this friendly hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. A real...

Read morehotel|I’d have loved to give this place 5 star, the staff were very helpful and spoke reasonable English. Our room was ready to check into early and it was very clean and modern. ||I was very surprised with how HARD the bed was! I have been staying in hostels and hotels for the past 4 months, and even in previous experience I have never seen or payed on a bed so solid. There was no bounce at all, I’d say about 1cm of cushion if that. It was just like laying on a carpeted floor so we had THE worst nights sleep. ||town||The beach is nice but filled with a lot of rubbish, don’t try looking for a decent place to eat sea side as there isn’t much at all. Turn left when leaving the hotel for the most action. The dragon bridge is worth seeing at night too. ||Next door, a little cafe called Eurostar was AMAZING! (Review on my profile) and very reasonably priced. We went out of our way to visit burger bros too (review also on my profile) the burgers were the best we’ve had in the last 4 months and we’ve been to Australia too. ||Uber is usually cheaper than taxi’s. They also use GRAB. Taxi (Uber) to airport no more than 100,000. They pay...
