My stay was 10/10 with exceptional service. Firstly, interior and exterior decorations are cozily cute and romantic. A pond of Koi fish with tropical plants in misty cool air welcomed and chilled us out when we arrived. The staff were so lovely and thoughtful. Before the checking process started, cool wet facial towels, chilled peach teas, and Hoi An delicacy coconut crackers were immediately offered. A receptionist will be assigned to you to take care of your entire stay. She/he would give you informative traveling information including where, what, and when it the best to go to certain popular tourist locations in the city. They flexibly help you to book restaurants, spas, and other services per your desires. Transportation service can be provided at the hotel; just tell them when you want to go, the driver mostly arrives on time unless they are fully booked. The best thing is it may be cheaper than Grab or other types.
With a homesick stomach, the breakfast provided was a huge satisfaction for me. The food tasted authentic. Must-try items included Vietnamese traditional signature dishes such as Hue shrimp dim sums (Bánh Bột Lọc/ Bánh Ít Trần/ Bánh Bao), spring rolls (Phở Cuốn), chicken stick rice, buns, and sauteed veggie noodles for vegan options. Growing up in Vietnam, these dishes were my entire childhood breakfasts. Please ask staff what types of sauce to pair with these dishes for the most authentic and delicious taste. Moreover, the home-made special dish is changed every day; again, don't hesitate to ask staff what on the house is. I had Bun Bo and Pho for both days stayed; yummy. And yes, they do have Western-style breakfast with omelette, crumbled eggs, PP&J, ham, cheese, bread, salads, you name it.
And guess what, it's 5-minute walk to the beach. My husand and I woke up at 5 am because of a jet-lag. We decided to go to the beach at 5:30 am and accidentally discovered one of the coolest things in this trip: the beach were full of local people who peacefully did exercise and morning bathing in the ocean. It was so lovely and pleasant. Highly recommend to add this into a list for your...
Read morePLUS: It's an upcoming neighborhood in Danang. The location of the hotel is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. It's better to be here than in one of the hotels on the beach. Delicious restaurants nearby. The room (studio) is not large, but there is enough space to turn around. There is a kitchenette in the studio, which is convenient. And you get the standard toiletries. The breakfast is diverse, and there is a staff member who asks all guests what they would like to order from the menu. The staff gives you a warm welcome, and you immediately feel at ease and at home. It was great that we could get an early check-in. The check-in process was pleasant, and we were offered a lovely tea with a snack.
LEARNING CURVES: Some of the staff need to improve their English. This would make things much easier for both themselves and the guests. The croissants aren't fluffy, so the chocolate croissant was even a bit hard and cold (it seemed like it was still a bit frozen). During check-in, communication could be clearer (think about information on laundry, how to indicate when the room needs to be cleaned up - for example, we didn't know that outside the door, under the room number, there were "clean" and "do not disturb" signs. As a result, our room wasn't tidied up after the first night). It's noisy. You can hear people talking. You should do something about it.
MINUS: There were many small flies attracted to the breakfast. Perhaps it would be a good idea to use warming trays. The orange juice tasted very sour. Is it an idea to use other oranges? Cause everywhere where I drink orange juice without sugar and ice, it is sweet and tastes great.
OVERALL: A very pleasant accommodation with comfortable beds. You get good value for your money.
TIP: In the street, there is a restaurant called Le Rendez Vous, serving French cuisine. It's very good, affordable, and just a 3-minute walk from...
Read moreMinh Boutique lied about my reservation and changed my booking. 중요한 여행이면 이 곳 예약 다시 생각해보세요.
I'm sad to say that this is the first negative review I've written. Hopefully it will be my last. I booked Minh Boutique's largest room two months prior to my arrival in Danang. Airbnb allowed for free cancelation more than 5 days in advance. 4 days before we arrived, Minh Boutique told me that there was a drainage issue in my room and asked if I would except a smaller room. Since I couldn't cancel the reservation, I accepted. I asked for an upgrade instead and they told me that the room I booked was their largest, so there was nowhere to go but down. I was assured that the smaller room was almost identical, so I accepted. It was not. It had a small, uncomfortable bathroom. Shower water ran out into the room. There wasn't even room for a sink, which was instead located outside the bathroom. The view looked out onto a parking lot. Upon arrival, I noticed all of the large rooms were occupied. I asked the hotel staff, who didn't seem in on the lie, and they told me the entire hotel was fully booked. When I complained to the sales department, they continued to lie and evade. Finally, and only after we left the hotel, the sales rep admitted that they had been lying, and that they changed my room because they overbooked, though I had made the reservation first. Most of all I am angry at the dishonesty. I will not return.
