We booked the Senior Suite for a special Christmas holiday. Upon arrival, staff wanted to book us in family room. When we complained there was long discussion. Hotel said they are fully booked and that there was a water problem in the suite. Their tone was condescending and not caring, and they did not offer any compensation for THEIR mistake. They only repeated "sorry" many times which got really annoying, if you arrive tired after a long day of traveling and just want to check in. The only option they gave us was free cancellation (wow how kind!!) on Christmas - with all hotels in Dalat being highly booked. So we had to accept to be shifted in a family room without any compensation. According to the "Sales manager" the family room was same value or an upgrade (huh?) as it was the same size. What is the advantage to us having two small queen size beds which fill the room instead of the senior suite we booked, obviously with a lot of space and a king size bed. Instead of help or finding a solution, we got one hour of stressful arguing, nice way to spend your Christmas holidays. It felt as if WE were the problem! Bad experience, even though the hotel looked nice enough (well once you squeezed your way through the many cars being parked right in front on the pavement, hard to find a way to the entrance.) We skipped the breakfast as extremely crowded and it did not look appealing. It seems the hotel caters rather to domestic tourists. Room itself was ok (if we had booked it), new build, clean, beds ok (not great). TV only had hotel advertisement, no smart TV / Netflix etc. Another issue is that you hear EVERY word and noise from neighbor rooms and corridor. And I mean EVERY noise, including light switches, showers, TV, suitcase rolling and steps in the corridor etc. - it is as if all evening and all morning somebody walks through your room. In a nutshell: new hotel, seems ok but surely not 4 star, the "sales manager" was very unprofessional and we would definitely not book here again. It totally spoilt our holiday. No help from Agoda either, by the way. (other staff at reception was friendly enough when we asked to change the non functional hair dryer - this problem was solved...
Read moreDecent hotel with decent amenities. Room size was alright, toilet size was alright. The only downside was the toilet, the bathtub. To shower, I had to climb in and once I’m done, I had to climb out. The shower was a challenge too; a wee bit to the right and it’s boiling hot lava cooking my nuts, a wee bit to the left and I’m being tossed with fresh ice water from Antarctica. Since it was a 5 day trip, and with so many places in mind to go, I didn’t really soak in the tub too so it was kinda a waste haha
No smoking in rooms, no durians, and no jackfruits if not, you’d incur a 2,000,000vnd fine. Some other tourist ignored that and the alarm went off lol, rang for 30 minutes. Had to frequent the smoking corner downstairs throughout my stay. The staff were super friendly, very helpful, and very accommodating too. Overall a super pleasant experience staying here and will come back again for another stay on my next trip 👍👍❤️
Ps: there’s a coffee shop at the roadside just beside the hotel with a super cute dog by the name of Dollar. Play with the little doggie, he’s so cute you won’t...
Read moreThe place is clean, centrally located and most of the staff are very nice. The breakfast buffet is decent. Those are the pluses. The negatives are also plenty: the walls are thin -you can and will hear everything -not just stuff going on in the hotel, but you can hear stuff blocks away. The windows and walls aren’t insulated well -mostly plastic. The management/owners have chaotic policies. If you expect American level customer service, don’t. The staff are apologetic, but their Mgmt policies don’t reflect any standard of customer service. About an hour before checkout, they start calling you, harassing you, reminding you about checkout time. It’s nonstop. When we answer, no one is on the line. When I call 0 for operator, it rings busy. So, no way to get them to stop calling us. We had to unplug the phone. Then, 20 minutes before checkout, they come knocking on the door. We checked out in time, but did not need this level of harassment on the way out. Seriously rude...
