Hola House 2 — Hotel in Hà Nội

THIS IS NOT THE LOCATION OF THE HOUSE!!! The actual location is 12A Ly Nam De street!

Pros: when I arrived in Hanoi, I had arranged an airport pick up. Alice was on the end of the phone to make sure everything went smoothly. She gave me all the information I needed and answered any questions I had. I saw her after a couple of days to pay her. Great location for the home stay and it was great being able to see what houses are like in the old quarter. I could do my laundry when I wanted and could come and go as I pleased. Felt very authentic.

Cons: like any old quarter in a city it’s very loud, especially the anthem or speeches in the mornings at 7am over the loudspeakers. However that is just part of the experience. The rooms and kitchen weren’t really that clean. There was a layer of dust on top of some surfaces in my room and on top of the fridge in the kitchen area. I guess that’s to be expected for the price, and overall it wasn’t that big of a deal compared to the advantages...

The reason for our mixed review is based on the construction happening next door to Hola House. As of late March, starting at 6:45am, jackhammers are working away for hours at a time. This is not a distant noise, it’s incredibly loud and forces you from the room.

If you’re lucky and get rooms on the opposite side of the building, I’m sure the noise is reduced dramatically. However, if you’re on the construction side, you’re out of luck. This is a large construction project and I’d imagine it will take a number of months to complete. If not for this, we would have stayed as the wifi is very strong and the room recent for the price.

I’d recommend reaching out to the location first and ask about construction...

Séjour mitigé, nous ne recommandons pas.

Nous avons séjourné à Hola House Hanoï pendant trois nuits. La chambre que nous avions était grande et propre. Et du matériel à disposition : ventilateur, climatisation, porte manteau et même une télévision. Par contre, la salle de bain partagée était sale. Et n’a pas été nettoyé de tout le séjour. À savoir qu’il y a des constructions juste à côté qui commencent à 6h30 du matin jusqu'à environ 19h-20h. À cause du manque d’isolation +++, impossible de rester dans la chambre à cause du vacarme (nous savons que les propriétaires n’y sont pour rien, mais nous n’avons jamais été prévenu même lors du chek-in). La propriétaire nous demande de laisser un commentaire si nous sommes satisfaits du séjour. Par contre, de lui dire uniquement en privée si nous ne le sommes pas. À savoir aussi que sur Booking, ils ont trois comptes différents pour laisser que les bons commentaires et pour avoir la meilleure note. Ils clôturent lorsqu’il y a trop de commentaires négatifs.
