This is a special hotel with good location and very typical French colonial architecture. The hotel is good for staying but it is not quite good at big conference. The food in restaurant is quite okie but for 4 star hotel, it must have a big effort to improve. However, the big point of choosing this hotel is the chance to explore Hanoi and the Old Quarter. If you are interested in a place near Hoan Kiem Lake and near Ministries offices, this hotel will fit you well. In Ly Thuong Kiet Street, you can find a lot of coffee shops from low end to high end one. Futhermore, you walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in around 5 minutes, you can find bookshop street (Trang Tien Street), Ha Noi Postal Office where you can catch the bus 86 to Noi Bai International Airport (really cheap and convenient for airport). If you take few more steps to the Old Quarter, here you are. The world of old Hanoi with massive of restaurants, stalls, a very busy pace of life from the early morning to the late night. It is worth to giving yourself a chance to explore Hanoi in this way. Hope...
Read moreThe hotels service is a joke. They lack competence in organization, communication and commitment.
We booked one of the “serviced apartments” on Airbnb. The check in was managed by the receptionist because it’s inside and part of the hotel. When we arrived they had no information in their system about our matter. Turns out the booking process is outsourced to an external agency. So the hotels way of resource management is calling the agency and asking them. But they could not reach them. The hotel offered us to rest in the room we had a reservation for. But if they would not be able to get a booking confirmation from the agency, we had to pay the hotel directly. I declined (smelled fishy to me).
After an hour and a discussion about who should be accountable, the hotel managed to get the agency on the phone. The booking was confirmed. But if you were wondering how they manage to avoid double booking their rooms - they don’t. We have to change rooms on our last night.
Location: directly next to a club and a karaoke bar. Loud music and annoying...
Read moreMy recent stay at Hoa Binh Hotel in Hanoi as part of a Djoser family tour was generally pleasant, but there are some notable aspects to consider before booking. ||The hotel itself has a charming atmosphere and is well-located, making it easy to explore the city. However, one major drawback is the absence of a swimming pool, which would have been a nice addition for relaxation.||The breakfast offered at the hotel was a bit disappointing. While it provided the basics, I expected a wider variety of options.||One important point to mention is the significant variation in room quality. Some rooms are quite nice, even beautiful, while others can leave much to be desired—some even lack windows! It’s crucial to do your homework and inquire about the specific room you’ll be getting to avoid disappointment.||In summary, Hoa Binh Hotel is a cozy choice with a great location, but potential guests should be aware of the inconsistent room quality and manage expectations regarding breakfast. Make sure to check the details of your room to ensure a...
