As of the good recommendations we booked two rooms für five nights. When arriving we found out that one room had an unlockable door whilst the other one was used before as a smoker room.
When asking for other rooms the poor receptionist told us that we is not authorized to do so. Accordingly we asked communicating with the manager who refused talking to us. Later the sales manageress told us via phone that she doesn’t see any reason for action as from her side. Tow hours later a frond office manager popped up whi argued that he couldn’t find any smell in the room whilst three other people (even the receptionist) did!
Finally the front officer manager told us that due to the situation that no other rooms would be available, he could return us the paid money and we should search ourselves for another hotel (at 19:00 hours evening). So, more or less he wanted to throw us out on the street!
This definitely is no customer-orientated behaviour wondering where the good recommendations come from. During our stay in Vietnam we learnt that many hotels and restaurants more or less chase their customers to give good recommendations and even give you a discount etc. for doing so.
As of the made experiences we cant recommend booking at Kegon Hotel. HANDS OFF!
Btw: the mentioned "windows" in the rooms turn out being a hole into a dark shaft!...

Read moreThe breakfast selection is excellent, offering a mix of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes, all served promptly with great service. Our family room was impressively spacious, featuring two bathrooms—an efficient setup for a comfortable stay. Everything was spotless and felt brand new. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was well-designed. The only minor drawback was some noise from outside traffic. While it didn’t wake me up, it was noticeable. That said, exhaustion helped me sleep right through it. Overall, a fantastic stay with thoughtful amenities and a...
