I have came for both sushi and teppanyaki, and the teppanyaki side outshined the sushi. Overall it was mixed. Our group chose lobster, which was a bit dry and overcooked, and the fried rice at the end did not land. The star was a perfectly cooked fish with yuzu sauce. I have tried yuzu many times and it finally clicked here. The blanched, peeled cherry tomatoes brought a deep umami pop, and I would happily order more of the side dishes. A dish topped with white caviar was a rare sight in Hanoi and a nice touch.
I expected more interaction from the chef given the long course. Some light tricks or banter would add energy. I understand the language gap with an English speaking group, but a little showmanship helps. Presentation feels dated for the price but an update would make the meal more memorable.
Service is polite and precise rather than warm. If they keep the traditional style, I suggest doubling down on simple dishes done very well and explaining ingredients more. With a few tweaks, this could be a stronger teppanyaki experience. Consistent overall, and still a nice night...
Read morevery disappointed. The place is well design But alot of let downs. The price is not matching the quality. We choose the teppanyaki dinner. First course the oyster is nice but it's so big must to serve it cut. The scallops were ok, but sauce was very heavy and only 1 piece which bit that big. The soup with crab is very good. The meat was good. The salad is so poor, serving salad is very disappointed for this price of dinner to serve it. When you want to clean the mouth if they would serve sorbet it was well accepted. Same for the desert it's so poorly to serve watermelon and strawberry nothing special. Rice just ok. The service is good and friendly but didn't give us any quiet time for ourselves even for few minutes. And also there was noise from the back kitchen which was disturbing. For last we couldn't pay with credit card because the machine was not working. So disappointed to pay more than 8 million for this kind of experience. Will...
Read moreWe went on a couple date for their Flagship omakase dinner. The restaurant was completely empty that evening which felt strange. We had counter seat and the chef Chinh prepared everything in front of us with skills. Ingredients are fresh and top-grade from Japan, it shows that it's not any sushi restaurant. The dishes are tasty, well presented and seasoned to perfection (though the Wasabi is definitely too strong). The omakase has about 9 courses, all seafood, and it is enough to fill full but you always crave for more when it ends. Special mention to the squid sashimi, quite unique. It's not cheap but cheaper than some other omakase in Hanoi and overall I think it is good value for a...
