Do not book a bus to anywhere via them! It’s a scam. We’ve booked a bus from Hoi An to Hue which costed 150k Dong per person. However, the staff took our money but did not give us the tickets, which she said it was not necessary. Yet when the mini shuttle bus took us to the bus station, the station staff said we should have the tickets otherwise we could not get on the bus. We thus paid again (100k) to purchase the bus tickets there!

Be sure to get the bus tickets even if the hostel staffs said it is not necessary! If they could not offer the tickets, just don’t book via them. Other bus company in the Old Town sold bus tickets to Hue that could be cheaper(120k per person) and you would be safe with the...
Read moreThis place is fantastic!! It is spotlessly clean and really well maintained. I was sick during my stay (from some cocktails in town I think!) and was so grateful that it happened when I was staying at Lazy Bear rather than anywhere else. The owners - Binh, her husband Linh and their family couldn’t have done more for us. They brought up ginger tea when I was suffering, booked taxis, boats and train tickets, getting better prices than what we could find online and they made us all feel right at home.
Bikes are free to take when you stay with them, including kids’ ones, and one with a child seat on the back, and from Lazy Bear it’s a 15 min cycle on fairly quiet roads or through beautiful rice fields to Hoi An town. Taxis are easy to get too, and there are a good few places to eat and drink close by as an alternative.
The little pool is great and my kids loved it, the banana pancakes were amazing and their local knowledge and advice was invaluable. We have stayed in lots of home stays in Vietnam, but none as welcoming and excellent quality...

They offer free bicycles which is a great way to get around Hoi An and we booked our Hai Van Pass tour from Hoi An to Hue through the hostal which worked out perfectly.
