Very impressive restaurant, just off the beaten track in Hoi An. About 1.5km to old town and similar distance to beach. Very quiet next to a river and some paddy fields.
It’s situated in the 5 star little oasis hotel and feels high end but in a very cozy comfortable way.
When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and asked where we would like to sit. It was only about 7pm and fairly quiet. We chose a table outside which was perfect.
We literally were serenaded by a frog chorus from the pond 6 ft away. It was very special.
We chose 3 mains instead of starters and mains and was the perfect amount. We had squid with noodles, chicken with noodles and spare ribs with rice. All dishes were sublime. quality ingredients only and expertly executed.
To drink we had 2 cold beers and a cocktail. With drinks and tip the bill came to £24! This was a high end meal in a high end hotel in a lovely part of Vietnam…. and i can’t recommend it enough.
The next day we went for a walk around the hotel and visited its 2 pools. Looks a perfect place to stay if you want Hoi An magic with the volume turned down from...
Read morewe had high hopes for a restaurant rated 5/5, 10/10 on all platforms. We have been in Vietnam for a week with wonderful culinary experiences. We thought Paddy would be a highlight. The fried spring roll was tasty, the fresh crab roll was unfortunately poor. The ginger chicken in the pot was below the standard of the previous restaurants. Braised ginger chicken is nothing special. All four of us tasted the most expensive 300,000 dong mixed fish dish: an unpleasant taste with low-quality crab (we ate crab every day in Vietnam, super quality). The staff is willing and tried, but the price/value ratio of the food is very unfavorable. We don't know what caused this situation - maybe it's...
Read moreAs we stayed at Little Oasis Hotel, we came across this gem of a restaurant with a great view of the field where you will see buffalos along a river. It's such a great way to experience the real Southeast Asia while eating great food, both Vietnamese and Western. The ingredient are fresh and locally sourced it seems, and the staff are very attentive, big smiles from everyone. Our waitress Hana was amazing with her recommendations of what to eat. The desserts were to die for from panna cotta to passion fruit cheese cake. If solo traveling I recommend their BBQs, very tasty and fun meeting others. Highly recommend this restaurant especially if you enjoy...
