✨ My First Trip to Vietnam – and This Hotel Made Me Fall in Love with Hoi An
This hotel was the #1 reason I fell in love with Hoi An on my very first trip to Vietnam.
💬 Incredible Staff
Every single staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. During our stay, we had many lovely conversations with Sang, Quen, and Emily, who not only told us about the hotel but also about life in Hoi An, local culture, and even recommended drinks and desserts. Their kindness made our stay so memorable.
🍹 Welcome Drink & Snack – Such a Treat!
We were greeted with a unique and refreshing beetroot and orange juice—so healthy and delicious! While waiting to check in, a charming staff member was shaking it like a cocktail in front of us, which added a fun, live experience. The welcome snack was a fresh fruit skewer—so cute and sweet. A perfect start to our stay.
🏛 A Beautifully Designed Hotel
From the outside, it looks modest, but as soon as you step into the lobby, it opens into a beautifully designed colonial-style space with museum-like elegance. Everything was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Next door, there’s a rental bike shop and a laundry shop—super convenient!
🏊♀️ Pools & Relaxing Ambience
Walk past the lobby, and you'll find three different pools! Surrounded by lush greenery, the hotel feels like a peaceful colonial palace. There’s a kids’ pool and an adult-only pool, and every corner is photogenic and serene.
🛏 Our Room: Junior Balcony Suite
We stayed in a Junior Balcony Suite for two nights, and we absolutely loved it. The colonial décor was stunning, and the freestanding clawfoot bathtub was spotless and gorgeous—especially the vintage-style shower that looked like an old-fashioned telephone handset! From the second-floor balcony, we enjoyed views of palm trees and the pool, with the sounds of birds and the breeze adding to the relaxing vibe.
🍽 Delicious Breakfast Buffet
The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a great variety of food. They had freshly made Vietnamese spring rolls and noodle soup, as well as western options like bacon, chicken sausages, and pastries for kids. My favorite was the Vietnamese-style salad, which was fresh, colorful, and included ingredients like quinoa and grains—healthy and tasty!
💆♀️ La Spa: Worth the Hype
I booked a 1-hour hot stone massage after reading great reviews—and it lived up to them! The facilities were beautiful, the staff elegant, and you could choose your massage oil and scent. I almost fell asleep—it was that relaxing. Highly recommended. While I was at the spa, my friend’s child waited in the lounge, and the staff kindly kept offering him tea and snacks. Such thoughtful service!
🚕 Great Location & Easy Access
The hotel is in a perfect location—just a few minutes by Grab to the Hoi An Night Market. We even tried GrabBike for the first time and loved the experience!
💬 A Place Guests Return To
We met an American family who was staying at this hotel for an entire month, and they said they come back regularly. Now we totally understand why!
🧡 Final Thoughts
Thanks to the lovely staff, we learned about local culture, coffee, and drinks, and those small, personal interactions made our first trip to Vietnam even more meaningful.
We’ve officially become La Siesta fans, and we’d love to stay here again next time we visit Hoi An. Highly...
Read moreAmazing hotel. I don't write reviews at all but couldn't pass this one. (This is my first review on hotels.)
Location is 15 minutes walk from the Old Town, which is a famous attraction in Hoi An. (Some people may think differently, but I personally was pleasant that our hotel was far from the noise pollution.) 15 minutes walk was enjoyable for me.
Room is super nice and very clean. Our room was located on the 6th floor and had a great view of the outdoor hotel area and crop fields with scarecrows. There is a TV, music player, electric kettle, super strong hair dryer (in the bathroom), LED light next to the bed for night reading. Bathtub is big enough to fit 2 people. Some snacks and coffee - both free and paid ones. We had two balconies, one of which had a table and 2 chairs. AC is very strong, too. Strong private(password) WiFi connection.
Service is "especially outstanding" and nothing I've experienced before - in a good way, of course. The room came prepared with AC on and clean before our arrival. Staffs are extremely friendly, respectful and helpful. Even had a dedicated staff memeber whom we could message to and he'd ask us if we needed anything time to time. (He also told us we could turn the AC on when leaving - though this is a common practice among visitors in the luxury hotel, I've never heard a staff mentioning it prehanded. Just found it unique.) Staffs are also well-informed about your status which was pleasantly surprising. (I don't even know how that's possible haha)
Lots of amenities with total 4 swimming pools, 8 pool table, gym, bar, indoor kids room, etc. Provides shuttle bus to busy area of Old Town. Also has bicycle rent service with some bicycle roads nearby. There was also a massage place though I didn't use it. Just fyi.
Breakfast is nice - the menu is not too diverse but of high quality. You can also order traditional specialized dishes through the staff which I recommend trying. Not only that but you can order coffee or teas, special fruits such as mango (though I don't know if fruits are limited to certain seasons.) - I highly recommend trying special orders though buffet was pleasant. Foods you order will be delivered to your table.
The outdoor area & sidewalks are completely covered with beautiful plants and flowers - which we could tell were well-maintained with gardener staffs.
There were two gyms with towels and water bottles inside, each equipped with various dumbbell sets, a fuctional trainer and a few cardio machines and mattresses which I thought was pretty decent for hotel gyms.
Pools are all large though the kids pool is smaller than the other three. Pools are all unique in shape and depth from shallow kids pool to deep infinity pool with pool bar. Infinity pool was especially impressive to me as it was very large and also located in a quiet area, perfect for adults who want to enjoy swimming in peace. If you prefer relaxing on the sunbed, you can order food through the staff and they will bring it to your table. The menu is on each table next to the sunbed.
Price for reservations and services were all affordable and worth the price considering the service.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel highly. Won't bother looking for a different hotel for the next visit...
Read moreMy recent one night stay at La Siesta Resort Hoi An was an absolutely unforgettable experience. In fact, it was hands down the best Hotel/Resort experience I’ve had so far. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, I was treated with exceptional hospitality from the hotel Managers as well as the entire staff team.
Upon entering the resort, I was immediately captivated by its stunning architecture and lush greenery. The serene ambiance and tranquil surroundings instantly put me at ease, making it the perfect retreat from the busy Hoi An downtown.
The staff at La Siesta Resort and Spa truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome at the Reception to the attentive service in their beautiful restaurants, either Redbean or The Temple. The dining options in both restaurants were equally impressive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the attentive staff ensured that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Their professionalism and genuine care were evident at every turn. They were always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel sort of like a royal yet so comfortable at the same time.
My original booking was a deluxe in classic Wing but I was lucky enough to have been upgraded to a suite in their brandnew Wing. The room I stayed in was a haven of comfort and elegance. The attention to detail in the interior design, fabulous taste in colors of paint on the walls, coupled with modern amenities, created a truly luxurious atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing me with a restful night’s sleep. The spacious bathroom with its indulgent bathtub and premium toiletries added an extra touch of indulgence.
One of the highlights of my stay was the La Spa. I treated myself to a rejuvenating massage that left me feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. The skilled therapists and serene ambiance of the spa created a truly blissful experience.
The resort’s facilities were also top-notch. There are FOUR swimming pools… Yes, you heard it right! FOUR not one or two. My favorite was the one facing the rice-fields. It was a refreshing oasis, perfect for a leisurely swim or simply lounging by the water while admiring the spectacular surrounding views. The fitness center was cozy but well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine even while on vacation.
Overall, my one-night stay at La Siesta Resort and Spa exceeded all expectations. The fantastic service, luxurious accommodations, and serene surroundings created a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful and indulgent escape.
