Hai Nam Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I like Vietnam, nice people, delicious food, beautiful sceneries and a lot more.||However, all my excellent impressions toward Vietnam were ruined because of this hotel :|Nam Hai Hotel|41, Ba Vi Street, Q. Tan Binh|HCM City, Vietnam||I fly to HCM City on Wednesday 30/04/2025 and paid 7 nights in the above mentioned hotel, hoping that I will be able to enjoy my happy journey in Vietnam.||Unfortunately, an un-expected and broken-hearted message totally changed my plans.|I have to fly back to Australia the next day which is Thursday 01/05/2025 at 10:40 pm, via Jetstar.||I, as well as all the other tourists over the world, absolutely understand and obey the strict rules of Refund Policy of every hotel. No refund upon cancellations.||I discussed my situations with the Hotel Manager and EXPEDIA, they both are colluding with each other, refused my requests of refund for the rest of the un-used five nights. We booked 3 rooms for 4 nights wanting a basic, quiet and clean place to sleep -- we cancelled our booking after the first night. The rooms were dirty, bathroom showers were mouldy and rusting - some with cracked tiles, there were stains on our sheets and pillow cases and some quilt covers had holes. In one of the bathrooms, there were shaved hairs in the sink (obviously hasn't been cleaned) and the basin was leaking. The bar fridge had also frozen solid so there wasn't room to fit our water bottles. The second room we moved to was situated at the front so it was very noisy.

After 10 minutes in our rooms, we complained to the security guard on shift who was lovely and very helpful. He found us 2 different rooms but they unfortunately weren't up to standard (we understood it wasn't his fault and appreciated his help).

We passed on the feedback to the manager the next morning who told us she had never received a single complaint about the hotel before. We left it at that and found ourselves alternative accommodation which was 10 times better and within...

The aircon does not work even when on the lowest setting and kept on, the room was hotter than outside and even hotter than the corridors. It was really dirty, with open cotton earbuds. there were flip flops provided that looked like they’ve never been cleaned. THERE IS NO HOT WATER. Strangely, the room also smelt of balloons.
