This restaurant has three branches and interesting they offer different menu at different outlets and the quality are not consistent at all among them. Went to D2 with my friend earlier. The onion soup and escargots were great and I decided to visit other branches near my house in D3. I went there twice in their D3 branch. The onion soup was served without cheese here and the lunch menu are so complicated and I saw a few customers like me needed time to understand. The escargots was also different with that from D2. I also ordered the king prawn quenelle for take away as it was raining that day. And it is extremely lousy for this dish and you can see the photo after I bought it home ( I forgot to take the photo in the menu to compare). The most disgusting thing is that there was a little piece of shrimp shell in the soft quenelle, it will be danger for kids.

I gave them a chance in their branch near Ben Thanh Market. I took a Grab as I want to eat grilled Salmon and my favorite escargots. Firstly I found that they don’s serve grilled Salmon here. Secondly after ordering for a few minutes, they told me that they also don’t have the escargots… So what will I do? I will never visit these brand of...

Terrible Service and Food, Not Recommended!

This restaurant was extremely disappointing, especially in its poor attitude toward Chinese customers. On a quiet Monday, the place was empty, yet the staff insisted on seating us at a cramped corner table. When we requested a more spacious spot due to having some belongings, we were still led to another tight corner. Later, we noticed that local and Japanese customers were seated effortlessly at the spacious four-person tables.

As for the food, the onion soup was overly salty and sweet, the pumpkin soup was overly creamy, and the duck confit was mediocre—far from the hype we saw online. The only dish that was somewhat decent was the escargot. Prices were extremely high, with an additional service fee that was completely undeserved. The service was awful, with staff showing cold and unfriendly attitudes, ignoring our requests to expedite orders, and even trying to take away our dishes before we were finished.

Overall, the food was bad, service was slow and rude, and the prices were unjustifiably high. Absolutely not...

Please save Cocote

Been here a million times, but the last 6 or so the service has been going down and down. Luckily the food remains mostly in tact, but starting to show signs of heading down with the service. Last night we went and waiters were so inattentive, we had to ask for everything multiple times: salt and pepper please, please bring the water we ordered, please bring bread (came cold and usually it is warm, then had to ask another 2 times); the waiter never came back to check if we wanted anything else like a desert; had to walk over to the kitchen to get more wine.... This was the first time we left without leaving a tip.... I understand the owner is opening new restaurants and is doing a great job with new concepts. But if you start ruining the ones that work well, what is the point of opening more? Time to re-focus. On the other hand, when Pizza4Ps opens a new one (as they just did in Saigon pearl), you can see the detail and control. And the other ones remain as strong as ever. Please...

Every time I visit Vietnam, I always make it a point to have a French meal. So, my friend, Henry Dang, went on a quest to find the best French cuisine in Ho chi Minh City. After a thorough search, he discovered a hidden gem of a French restaurant located in a building near the First District Penang market. To get there, we had to pass through a row of massage, beauty, grocery stalls, and a motorcycle parking lot before we could reach this truly hidden restaurant. The open-air restaurant had a tropical bar atmosphere, giving off a French street-side cafe vibe. We immediately ordered onion soup, salad, mixed meat platter, French steak, and duck leg confit. Though the food lacked the finesse of French cuisine, it tasted surprisingly good. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, but it might be too heavy for those who prefer a lighter taste. The soup was not abundant, but the portion was generous. The onions were slowly cooked in butter for at least half an hour to achieve their softness and flavor. So, drinking this soup was definitely worth the price. There's not much to say about the salad, as long as the ingredients are fresh, it's good enough. The mixed meat platter was huge when it arrived at the table, and the cheese came in four varieties. The ham was moderately salty and had a clean aroma, and it was soft and not dry. The liver and meat sauces were both excellent, and when combined with other ingredients such as pickles, diced tomatoes, and served in a French baguette, they became a "French sandwich." What surprised me the most was the diced tomatoes, which had a subtle sweetness and rich flavor layers. I'll definitely ask the chef how to make it next time I visit. The French steak was a bit heavy for me, but the taste was not bad. The duck leg confit was my favorite dish of the night. It was my first time eating duck confit with crispy skin wrapped around a slow-cooked duck leg that had been marinated for a day. The duck meat was soft and tender, and the seasoning was not oily. Unfortunately, I didn't expect the food portions to be large, and I couldn't finish everything. Otherwise, the taste should be even better. In conclusion, this is a restaurant with good ingredients and a chef who respects food. The food quality is not bad, and I left with a full stomach. I paid about HK$200 per person for the meal, which was worth it. Compared to many fake restaurants in Hong Kong, the taste was much better. I can only say that I will come back next time to try other dishes.

Decided to pop here after the Independence Palace. We arrived and were seated immediately and the service was very efficient. We placed our order of Rostbeouf, Duck Margret, Cordon Bleu and Burrata Salad. The food came fairly promptly and was well presented. The first thing we noticed was the duck was overcooked and a bit dry, and the beef, although asked for medium rare, was too much on the rare side. The cordon bleu was delicious and the Burrata salad very tasty, just a little heavy with the balsamic. The sauces served under the meats where great and the potatoes and fries accompanying the dishes were amazing. We ordered creme brulee and lave cake for dessert. The brulee were amazing and the lave cake was good, although the cake should have been hot to compliment the cool creme anglais with it and it would have been perfect. Overall, a very tasty meal, and the price was excellent (1.2mVND) for 4 people, although it may be on the high end compared to many other local restaurants.
