STAY AWAY. ||This is the worst out of 3 hotels (so far) in Saigon. It's not at all what it looks like in the pictures. ||Me and my gf ordered a simple standard room without window and non smoking. When we arrived there, they said the standard rooms were all full..? Even though we already booked it.. so they said they would upgrade our room to suite with window. ||On our way to the room we noticed how EVERYTHING. Lobby, corridors and elevator smelled disgusting. All the walls and sealings had nicotine imprinted smells. Dirt on the floors and cigarette fimps/ash in corners. ||Finally arrived at our upgraded suite room. Never been this disappointed ever.. the room smelled even worse and was a lot dirtier. Had to wear shoes all the time inside. This was obviously a smoking room with a really bad A.C. ||Over all this hotel was just very smelly and dirty. We checked out asap the next morning after a night with coughing from all the dirt in the rooms. |||Stay away and...
Read moreThe reason I've rated this hotel poor is because the rooms me and my friends stayed in all had no windows. This wouldn't be so bad but the air in the rooms was stale, heavy and smelt funny. It was as though they hadn't been properly aired in years. The bathroom was a wet room, but still okay. Everything worked. But I woke up one night and used the bathroom and there were bugs crawling behind the sink (nothing major, but not that pleasant). I think a room with a window would have been much nicer. There was wifi which worked well. The staff were friendly and those on reception were keen to help. The rooms get cleaned/beds made every two days which I wasn't so much of a fan of. In terms of location it's in district one which is alright, close to markets and good restaurants (10 min walk) but to see the main sights like the palace, museums or notre dame you'd have...
Read moreLocation is great, right in the heart of District 1, right across my favourite local market(Cho Thai Binh) and some 300 metres from the infamous Pham Ngu Lao. If you look for a clean and relative quiet place, dont consider this place. The hotel is situated right at the round-about where countless motorbikes are moving endlessly like a carousel even late at night. The cleanliness of the hotel is well below par. It is as well sitting on top of a massage palour. The guy who worked at the front desk did not seem to be informative nor attentive neither. It will be a hardship if you have a large n heavy baggage as you need to climb up a steep and narrow staircase to reach the check in counter. I am not being critique but see these people give 5 stars rating for this hotel, it's...
