La Passion Sai Gon Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

First, I will start by saying the staff working at this hotel is 5 stars but for the hotel itself I give it a one start. Secondly, the shower it’s either scalding hot or very cold and it changes on its own so the shower is very uncomfortable. Be prepared to burn your ass! There is also no place to put your shampoo or soap inside the shower. They don't even offer conditioner for your hair so make sure to bring some. Sound proofing is atrocious you can hear everything going on inside the hotel hallways, hearing full on conversations and doors beeping while trying to sleep was quite obnoxious. As for the room Itself it is very small and they have a cooler/refrigerator which doesn’t get remotely cold if you leave it out the ac makes it colder so make sure you ask for some ice the staff will bring it right up. The elevators are under maintenance with one completely not working the whole time I was there and the stench of fuel filled up the entire lobby and all the hallways be prepared to hold your breath. Also, there is no place to park motorbike at the hotel another downside to this location. All in all, I would avoid this hotel it’s not with it for the price especially if you want a more comfortable stay. The owner cuts a lot of corners to save on costs but still has high price for a room the amenities don’t reflect the price!

New and nice hotel with so much potential. The staff need to be trained, I never seen a hotel with such confused staff.

-When we arrived they seemed really lost in what they where doing. Giving us room in 6th floor then changing to 9th floor but then coming in to the room where someone was sleeping, then back to 6th floor where the right room was.

-Breakfast opens at 6:30 but thats when they start to prepare the breakfast. I suggest make the preparation 30 min before so everything is done at 6:30 and not just overcrowded with staff not knowing what to do, no bread of fruit etc.

-We where told the pool would be done so it was. I went up there to see the most disgusting pool in my life. It was not clean, hair, gray clay water so I told them and directly after we got a text that the pool was closed the upcoming 3 days for cleaning.

-This hotel should in my opinion not be open yet. Staff is undertrained, there is still construction and one elevator not working.

However this hotel is new and really nice in general. Staff is extremely friendly snd helpful. I only blame the person responsible for not training staff and opening it to early. 6 star service for a 4 star hotel! Definitely the best service I've ever experienced. From booking, pre-stay, throughout the whole stay. We arrived at 9am after landing and was welcomed by the marketing lady (as spoken when booking) and the whole reception + doorman team! Checked in to leave our luggage at the hotel and wanted to go out for breakfast. When the staff heard that we had not eaten breakfast, they offered us to enjoy the breakfast buffet!

We were also told that our room rates included daily afternoon tea. But we mentioned that we would be out for work during that time. Reception offered to pack 2 sets of each item and being it up to our room everyday. Very very impressed.

Best of all, this hotel just opened for operation less than 2 weeks ago. And is still in the midst of finishing up their final details. Room is very clean, bed is very comfortable. You might hear some construction noise but will only be heard during working hours, which was fine for us, since we are mostly out. Breakfast has a good variety as well. Staff are all very friendly, can speak English, Chinese, Cantonese. They even remember our names (and us, theirs!)

Location is good too, quiet but walking distances to many good food around!
