Steak Love Độc Lập — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I’m very disappointed in myself for choosing this place.

Just took my gf here for her birthday because I saw so many reviews.

I called ahead to ask for at least a nice table and they asked me to choose between red and green I guess for the decor.

When we arrive they had nothing prepared and said they forgot. It’s okay maybe they’re quite busy.

Then we both order some food and 300g steaks. Some of the food was decent to be fair but then they bring her 3 pieces of a steak that’s obviously much smaller than mine and looks like leftovers. They tried to pass it off as normal but then came back saying would change for her and give us a lil free cake for her bday to say sorry. Okay sure.

We then wait 15 minutes for her food to arrive and when we finally finished and were the only ones left on the second floor they said we’d now have to wait 10 mins for them to now start baking the cake. We didn’t want to waste more time tho so just paid for everything and left.

Not the waitresses’ fault as there was only 1 on the second floor but surely poor management and after paying for everything they said the manager would call me later haha. Too little too late obv and now I feel compelled to write this essay to hopefully help others avoid making the same mistake as me.

It’s not a place to bring your gf for her bday - luckily mine is super chill and easygoing but I was very frustrated and again deeply disappointed in myself for choosing...

The restaurant is part of a group with three restaurants which, although they are from the same group, have a huge difference here, for example. The food is very good, the service is fast and efficient, the staff is smiling and acts on the spot, for every single thing, the order is taken immediately, the execution is fast and for anything that additionally arises as a necessity, they are there, which makes eating very comfortable and enjoyable. The only thing you should be careful about is not going to their restaurant which is located in Diamond Plaza because the manager of the hall there, or whatever her position is, is an absolutely lazy, lazy and unsuitable woman for a waitress who thinks the first time I got there that she was some exception, but now these days I was there for the third time, she was there again, people wait for her for 30 minutes, for the bill she comes that she will be on her stomach, absolutely does not help at all, even First you have to ask her to bring a menu. I wonder how they treat her at all. However, there is no such thing here. There are nice young people who run for every single thing and make the experience very pleasant, as I highly recommend this restaurant because the steaks served there are on the very affordable price and that makes a more abundant dinner quite reasonable in financial terms Also the service which is wonderful is of...

The worst Steakhouse I been in Saigon! Menu was dirty with food debris. Ordered for 4 person 2 different steak and 2 times different cooked. 3 different side orders and 4 different drinks. The drinks finally came after 15 minutes wait and the waiter left the table with the beer bottle closed, I had to remind to open the bottle! Surprisingly fast came all the sides to our table , but had to wait another 12 minutes until finally the steaks came. Of course the sides been not hot anymore, but no apologies from the waiter . The steak was actually cooked perfectly, but had no seasoning which was once again disappointing , but the best still to come. We finished fast and wanted to only to leave since this restaurant had the typical Vietnamese vibe of being very loud . So we ask for the bill , immediately came another waiter started to clear the table by collecting the cutlery in one hand , stable the dirty plates above each other and collected the glasses with his finger in it . This all while we all were still sitting on the table! I was shocked, such a low class service in a steak house. I cannot recommend this joint at all, every street food stall gives better service than this...
