EDIT: Warning: this hotel is a sketchy place. Around 12am there was a woman in the room below us screaming at the top of her lungs crying and shouting “please stop!” “Someone help me!” And we heard loud bangs. This woman was clearly being hurt, we tried to use the room phone, which doesn’t work, so we ran down to the front desk where a man and security were working. When we explained what was happening they just laughed and said they could change our room. What is the point of security if they don’t keep people in the hotel safe? The fact that this hotel allows violence and turns their heads at it makes it a poor choice for those who want a nice vacation. The girl working the front desk is nice and really seems to care, but the guy that was working that night and security don’t seem to care at all if people are getting hurt. This is our first time in HCMC so maybe this is common, but it’s scary and I don’t feel safe in this hotel.
Otherwise, the hotel looks cute and is in a great location, the staff are very friendly and were able to accommodate us when we had an emergency and needed an extra room on last minute notice. The rooms were clean, but the beds are the hardest beds I’ve ever slept on, they have no spring to them at all. The toilet only occasionally flushed, and every now and then a horrible sewage smell would come through the pipes to the point where we were gagging. Sometimes there was no hot water, there also isn’t a working phone in the room so if you need more water or toilet paper, etc you have to go and ask for it. Breakfast is free and was delicious! WiFi is also free and had a good connection. I wish the beds and plumbing were better so I could give this cute, greatly located...
Read moreThe location is awesome, breakfast is quite good, and the AC was great. However, the beds are extraordinarily hard and sleeping was difficult. There was no phone in the room so no way to call for extra toilet paper or soap, both of which were missing. They hadn't turned on the hot water until we asked (and we had to go downstairs since there was no phone).
It seems like they are new and still working out some of the kinks but... not quite ready for business yet. Hope they get better...
